RedJohn's Humble opinion about EDI BOT

Frankly, however, considering we all know how things are gonna get tight when it comes to addressing issues in the near future, I'd much rather them devote attention to the Talon and the Cabal Vanguard. They've got playability issues when it comes to their kit.
After they bring those kits up to snuff (I don't think the Cabal is gonna happen, but the Talon might be salvageable), we can entertain the idea of beating a perfectly playable character down for the purposes of...well, I'm not sure to be honest.
Priorities. Please, can we have those?

Eh, I can tolerate a lot of things, the AIU included. But how in the holy hell did she get released along side kits like the Talon? Did no one look at these two and see the MASSIVE effectiveness disparity between them? I'm trying to wrap my brain around it, and I cannot come to a logical conclusion.

There is no real need for a balancing since you already have the freedom to spec it as you like.

John, as always a great post. You as any other skilled players can do wonders with any kit. I'm not sure if this is the case with the vast majority of the ME3 MP players. Maybe there are a lot of peoples that will welcome the EDI as it is now, just for having a bit more fun. Let's not forget that this is a coop game, not a competition. Anybody who need a more challenging game could refrain configuring and using the Repair Matrix.

-And also... I always wanted to see a character in the MP that could go through everything to be a good medic and help friends.. I think she's doing that pretty well for the sake of being a good team-mate! <3

When I saw this on the livestream I choked.
'We have playtested and think all the kits are balanced'
I think she is the only not-fun character in the DLC so biower didn't test her.

Completly agree Panzer.
Haven't played her yet but anyone who plays this game should know perfectly well that players with the skill needed can make every kit deadly. If you don't like the Fembot then don't play her, It really is that simple.

She's as fine as Omega Rugal is fine. (actually she's not as he's a chiseled maniacal dude, and she's the opposite of that but whatever; she's neo geegus/pyron levels of dps and insta back into battle.)
The statement that she's can't get out of a press is also false; it's exactly what her dodge is for. The most you're gonna have happen is double stagger stun and if you have ANY damage resistance specc'd at all the only faction that slam her back down are collectors.
She is redonkadonk. All she needs is machete and a hockey mask.

I'm an average player and I think she's ridiculously powerful. The self-rez alone is completely broken. Like release Krysae levels of unbalanced.

The thing is....if your a good player, you will never need to use repair maitrx. Obviously, if you keep going down, it won't save you.
It's really survivable, but the damage output is lower that other top tier infiltrators since all repair matrix does is keep you alive.
Unlike, say, the old GI(old tC) +Krysae(as released) I don't see this kit really imparing the fun othe other people.
For a defense skill, Repair Matrix requires alot more skill to use than fitness. Which is good. Fitness is boring(except for melee).
I really hate the way Bioware comes up with a kit that makes sense, is interesting and has synergy between it's power and people say it's OP.
It saves the player money, but it's hardly an I win button. Heck, you see one in a pug, you know who's not gonna use missiles probably.

I will play her if only to see for myself what all the complaints are about and thats probably the only time i will, But i'm still waiting for it to download......
And you are not an average player, been of a few games with you and you are at least above average (at least from my laggy POV)

Not to mention how new weapons and gear will change old kits and make them "OP".
The bottom line is that casual players can now do higher difficulties, and this may broaden the play selections for public games (less box of shame).
Less failed missions, more credits earned over time. Win-Win.

Once again, the Repair Matrix WON'T save you from a sync kill, and if you get swamped, you'll die again almost as soon as you get back up. It's not an "I win" button unless you're smart with her, and there's no reason to nerf it because smart players are good with her.
Plus there is still the lag with this power much like stim and ops packs. The delay with grenade bass healing powers has yet to be fixed
Feneckus, you want a reason, look at people thinking they have sync kill immunity with repair matrix and try to go melee a phantom. She stabs the living noob out of them. Half of them even forget they have snap freeze.
BW wanted an effective cqc shotgun kit. Something with survivablity and a way to open a quick shot at close range, much like the SE and energy drain. And they made it.
What you fail and refuse to see is the how the infiltrator class really functions. You miss entirely how BW specs what is effectively a rouge class for this game. Even in the old kotor days, bioware based alot of thier games in the old d20 system and that still show here. Rouges in d20 are pure and simple dps. They would get huge damade bonuses to flanking and backstab. They would do more damage most times than a fighter class. It works the same way here. Infiltrators are dps and the rouges of the me universe. Both are fast, stealthy and yet squishy.
The old me infiltrator was at it's heart a tankier engineer and nothing more. The true rouge of me was not there yet until me2. Same with the vanguard. What you're looking for is a set of kits that would never work in the current meta game. These kits and some changes to some spawns have now made sure that the old vanila kits are now obsolete.
Nothing anyone will say will change you're mind, no different than anyone else on bsn who think they are entitled to didctate to other players and dev how to play. You're entitled to nothing but the abilty to play or shelve the game and leave the world in blessed peace.

Actually you stick a reegar or graal or claymore on her and you can very easily kill someone's fun by following them around and stealing all their kills.
Sounds like you haven't actually played her yet.
You can do that ghost, GI or a couple other infiltrarors also. Hardly unique to the iBot.
I'm not sure yet, but it seems like the snap freeze animation may even be to long to trigger out of TC without the evo.

One little tidbit of info though. When you play solo, mobs seem to stagger / stunlock you every time just before repair matrix expires, so you can't use it in time and end up gelling. It's almost as if devs foresaw this and added a little insurance for fair play.

None of them move like she does, not even close, and that's without adrenaline.

It has a 15s base duration. Unless you have a 15s lag, you should be ok.

I'm not sure we can apply this to ME, but whatever. The sexbot is essentially the rogue (high DPS), tank (can absord punishment) and support (can debuff and revive) all at the same time ...
She's far more durable than a Krogan Sentinel while dealing more damage than the Human Soldier.

I don't really care whether BW nerfs that kit or not. I just hate it when people have the nerve to argue that it's not OP.
