John, as always a great post. You as any other skilled players can do wonders with any kit. I'm not sure if this is the case with the vast majority of the ME3 MP players. Maybe there are a lot of peoples that will welcome the EDI as it is now, just for having a bit more fun. Let's not forget that this is a coop game, not a competition. Anybody who need a more challenging game could refrain configuring and using the Repair Matrix.
There is no real need for a balancing since you already have the freedom to spec it as you like.
i like this human, he understands!

LOL. If you look the livestream (Bryan's one), he played as the EDI bot. At one point he brought up he scorecard. His EDI bot had racked up 14000 points whilst the other three were still at a pitiful 3000. Bryan didnt even seem to be trying very hard. So much for balance...Paynez wrote...
I agree.
When I saw this on the livestream I choked.

I'm not sure we can apply this to ME, but whatever. The sexbot is essentially the rogue (high DPS), tank (can absord punishment) and support (can debuff and revive) all at the same time ...
Technicly, she's not a tank. The function of a tank is to draw aggro while you squadmades kill something. She can't do that.
I think BW fetish for grenade powers probably acts a balance here. She would be awesome soloing as you can just run between boxes and keep the matrix up. Harder to do that in an actuall game. And the matrix doesn't help you kill stuff.
A Gi gets TC + HM+ Proxy Debuff(20%) + proxy damage
Ghost gets TC + (Stim Pack} + overload damage
iBot gets TC + 10% debuff +freeze damage <---less obviously
All 3 have crowd control. She doesn't feel more powerful than the other two. More survivable, but a tad weaker also. I was sort figuring that if we got a shotgun TC it would be a krogan. This is...odd.
Honestly, I'm not sure how you fix it. Nerfing the matrix just means people put the points into fitness, which needs less skill and is boring. A power that is only defensive pretty much needs to be somewhat good to be worth taking.
It's like the ghost. BW accidently(I say accidentally bc of the other kits) came up with a kit that has a powerset that makes sense and works together. I suppose you could balance things by calling all power synergy OP, but that's kinda dull and would sort suck actually.
She saves the player consumables, but I dunno. Just doesn't feel OP. It's a safty net, but not an i win button by any means.

She's faster than Drell, deals more damage than Human Soldiers, tanks better than a Krogan, and has a really good debuff.El Franko wrote...
I don't think she is OP. The game in general just got easier.
It's like they remade the Turian Ghost infiltrator with shotgun specialization, and decided to give make the Ops packs give increased mobility, damage reduction and a free medi-gel.

What about the negatives. If geth surround her she is gg even with all the revives. Pretty sure executions still work on her, what if you auto revive next to a Banshee. I agree that something needs to be nerfed. I'm sure it'll be the shield regen speed or even shield reduction. Still like the Cabal more =3
Sorry, none of the factions have anything groundbreaking to stop her, this includes stun lock. As far as sync kill on wake up is concerned, Lol. If repair matrix is used to revive you and you get sync killed, you'll go through the animation and be free to run away as soon as it ends. The skill is definitely not working as intended. ''This can only occur once'' does not mean once per cast. I'm almost positive it means once per match and will be fixed. Hell even once per wave is fine. But once per cast? Well we all see the outcome.

It gives lesser skilled players a fun survivable kit for playing higher difficulty's & lets them earn more creds & gives them a better chance of unlocking better kit.
It seems that its mainly the skilled that are crying its op, needz nurf!
If you dont like repair matrix spec out off it or dont play with the class at all, after all I'm pretty sure you all have maxed character manifests & plenty other characters to play with.
I cant help but think there's a bad case of fragile epeen going round with the skilled wanting this kit nerfed.
Are you's really that worried the lesser skilled mortals using this class might be able to do well.
Oh & the way I see repair matrix is its just Bioware giving you back all the OPs packs that were stolen.

You can go an entire match without actually using the skill.

You can check the manifest if you think that. This is a philsophical disagreement I think. It depends how much you find the ability to not need medigel OP.
Havn't tried it yet, but this may make the raider actually usefull.

The only reason I would say it's slightly better is the auto-revive effect (which brings you back with no shields by the way) which only gives you milliseconds to get out of the fire you died in. Invincible? Hardly. That's a very large exaggeration most likely branded by people that have only played the character on the lower difficulties.
uh... once you're revived, pop another magic pill, cloak, then run to the ammo boxes to restore your super ops pack/insta-medi-gel pills. you only need 2 at a time. this was on gold pugs.
my build was 6/6/4/6/4 with wraith 8 or claymore X. level 3 incindiery or warp ammo, cyclonic 3, shotgun 3 and i had no idea what to do with the gear. didn't even matter.

The EDIbot as we call it is not a bad character, in fact it is too good, TOO good and is not because of tactical cloak's shotgun evolution, no, that's fine, the issue here Repair Matrix.
Repair Matrix gives you damage reduction, speedbonus, FREE revives ( specially this because it gives you back shield gate and make the fitness evolution pointless ) etc etc etc.
Now first of all, I am not the kind of player who complain about if something is OP, if something needs to be nerfed, buffed etc etc, no.
[ ...]
But from my very very humble opinion I think Repair Matrix is breaking the balance we had in the game before Reckoning, and it breaks balance even on the character, because Repair Matrix makes us have 46 medigel just right there if spec'd correctly ( granade capacity and blablabla + 5 op packs = 40 + 6 medigel = 46 ) and that is just without ammo boxes.
[...]
Seriously, the risk-reward relation is erased with this character, could you please take a look at it BioWare?
Any thought BSN?
I agree 100% with you. She has insane DPS, one of the best crowd control powers in the game (if not the best), a very good dodge and shield regeneration while cloaked. She's also very fast and agile.
Any noob can solo gold with her without any throuble. She can't simply die... (or better, she dies but instantly revives).
Some may arguee that GI, Kroguard or TGI are also OP, but all of those characters have some drawbacks and none of them are present on Edibot. Also, only the GI can generate a comparable DPS, but he is though to play due to low health/shileds.

what?
"she can still be insta-killed therefore she isn't op," is a horrible argument.
that's like saying "all the characters are balanced (minus juggernaut) because they all can be sync-killed."
she dances around the geth, even without her second-to-only-the-fury/slayer dodge.
nerf or not, she is ridiculously overpowered.

Very well put - from a point of perspective of someone at the top of ME3 MP's learning curve.
With the Alliance Infiltration Unit BW simply added the so long missing "noob cannon" to enable everyone to contribute to every difficulty of the game even when they're new to the game and have no end-game X UR.
It's the start of the perfect imbalance as very well explained here: Extra Credits: Perfect Imbalance
Now there is the gap filler between Platinum Veterans and Bronze Casuals.
We have yet to see what kind of builds the other players will come up with.
The AIU will soon be known as the "no skill needed" kit and therefore will be pretty much avoided by many who seek the challenge - also the AIU will only be truly mastered by few, just like the Fury.

Repair Matrix is buggy off-host. My friend has played with her off-host and even-though he popped the RM before things got hairy (as evident by the green overlay), it did not revive.
And you only have 1 revive per RM and its count is limited unless you go in with Grenade Upgrade. Still its hard to find nades in higher difficulties. She is very good character for below average players (like me)who would like to play Gold or Platinum (not in PUG but with friends of similar skill level).
But of the above average players she might be borring. But the solution is very simple, do not spec too much into RM and do not use Grenade Upgrade. Instead go in with a Geth Scanner and snap freeze things on the other side of the wall.
Finally a character for the average or below average player:P if a player finds her too easy or boring to play then don't,. Don't spec in RM or move on to another. I played her and found RM buggy also off host. Last DLC let's leave it alone and have just fun to the end.

you can't compare the two. the fury can go down and easily at that. you have to actually walk into the line of fire to regenerate shields and only on certain enemies. aiu only needs to push a button and cloak.

I've noticed that stim packs and repair matrix tend not to work if you activate them right after suffering heavy damage. You get the sound of stim pack, yet if you look at your stim pack count, it will not have decreased. It's kind of the same with repair matrix.Mindfane wrote...

If it gets nerfed, it will probably be duration wise or the amount of shield regenerated.

I'm sorry but who are you to determine how to "improve" my experience in a game? All I saw in this post was a lot of "I" this and that. Last I checked Bioware didn't work for you.
"...after all, we are a community united for this game, and I want the game to be properly balanced."
Implying that just because you want something, we as a "community" all have the same opinion, *spoiler alert* we don't.
Chances are Bioware will change the stats on some of these kits if not all. I mean isn't that what they always do? They release new characters with boosted stats to show off how awesome they are and so that people can play around with the kits. After a few weeks though, Bioware takes off the training wheels and (at least this is how I thought they meant for it to be) reverts the kits back to their original stats.
As for you though Red "The Elitist" John, a solution to your problem would be to play as something else. If you want a challenge go on a solo platinum using melee on a Volus, and I don't mean using the batarian gauntlet.
I don't have a problem with your opinion, I just have a problem when you start to comment as if your opinion is my opinion. Just let Bioware do their thing, enjoy the last dying breath of ME3 multiplayer, and stop trying to ruin the fun for the rest of us and those who haven't even unlocked the kit yet.
tl;dr: Elitist gonna elite.
