During the two matches I have played as the Talon Mercenary Engineer I encountered some issues.

Issue 1: At the begining of both matches my key bindings were reset to the defaults. This also happened to my friend during the one match where he played the Talon.

Issue 2: During the second match thermal clip packs were no longer in the power bar. I did not notice this during the first match but it may have happned then as well.

I did a search of the forums and I did not come across anything with the variety of keywords I tried. Has anyone else encountered any of these issues?

Edit:
Issue 1 confirmed with a second friend. This friend also had an issue where the bow would sometimes not fire when the melee button is released. Did not experience thermal clip pack issue.

Should have done this quite a while ago but here is thekeybinding fix that the community came up with. Unfortunately, the original thread has been locked out for certain reasons along with some of the linked threads but this should contain everything that was there. It is very simple to do. Thanks a bunch to BACON4BREAKFAST and the others who figured all this out. For the missing skill points issue, playing a game with the Talon should result in the missing points being available afterwards. As for grabs, it has been my experience that you must hold down the melee button rather than just tapping it like you normally would.

I do not have engineer back at 20 yet so I don't know if I will have this issue or not.

Can't grab (as far as I'm aware) if he has arrow charges on. Every time I've tried, he's stood up to shoot. I thought it was me having poor timing, but spamming melee with something on the other side just made me stand up to charge it.

Arrow ammo doesn't get listed as the damage source (it remains Omni-bow) so you don't get credit for the points for challenges.

Also, while the thermal clips vanishing is weird, the Talon can't use them anyway so it's not like you're missing out short-term.

Forget bugs, he just sucks. The arrow spread means you do basically no damage with them. I /really/ wanted to like this guy, but he's by far and away the weakest of the new characters.

Holding melee focuses the arrows onto 1 target. They still do crap damage, but at least it's slightly more.

Had the key binding thing too and didnt bother trying a second game because I hated him (doesnt suit my play style)

and i test it on Platinum and Gold match because not using 5-8 under bronze and silver

Yep same as the OP. As a little bonus i had sounds disappearing around me. The damage from the arrows didn't register 60% of the time. It takes an insane amount of time to focus a shot with the bow and since he has virtually no shields (seems like he takes +50% of damage) it makes him surprisingly squishy (i died, a lot).

Yes, and we put them in a thread about him earlier.

If you were using the forum's own search, then I am not surprised you didn't find it since its search is bad.  I don't know if Google would have faired any better yet.

At any rate, he just overrides your custom key bindings, he doesn't actually reset them.  So you can switch to another character and it will be find.  I actually bailed out of two games due to this.  The first I thought the game was screwed up, so I just Alt-F4'd out, and restarted.  Checked key bindings, and they were mine, so tried another match.  Still screwed up, so I just exited right after the beginning.  Switched characters, and all subsequent games had the correct keys.

A buddy who plays with default keys didn't have any thermal clip packs available whatsoever when he played him.  So there is that.

I didn't test him enough to verify any of your other ones.

Searching talon combined with problem, glitch, bug, and key binding gave me nothing but that isn't too suprising considering it only searches based on thread title and not thread content.

For me, switching to another character did not bring my key secondary bindings back.

I use the default bindings, and prefer not to let things get close enough to grab anyways, but the shots not registering is a significant nuisance.

Having the key bindings issue here, at first I was thinking "How the Hell do I use the freaking bow!" and actually Alt-F4ed out as I thought it was a bug.

Yup same here. Only played one game last night but had this keybinding thing plus my op packs were missing from the bar. There was another thread about this also so it's definitely a thing.

While you are at it could you check if they forgot to add actual damge to the bow?
