I'm stuck in Recliff. The first wave is easy enough to beat, but like hell if I can win the second one! Anyone have a good strategy? I'm a dwarf noble warrior, with Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana on my team. Leliana is using a bow mostly, but has twin daggers if the enemies get too close.

Thanks.

Let's assume you did the following

1. Found the secert bin inside an empty store cotained with Lighter Fluid so they can use that in their attacks.

2. You recuirted the rouge with two guys near him by going into his room

3. All this BEFORE the actual fight

Party members to take

Morrgian: Mind blast, Ice freeze, heal

Shale: whatever

Wynn: heal, group heal,

Yea..

There's also someone to recruit in the tavern and, if you can, get morale up through persuade checks with the mayor and the revered mother for the knights.

If you give a heal talent for Morrigan and set her only for healing (as you cant afford to lose mana) its pretty easy - involving lot of pausing and casting a heal on youre party and other npc as soon as youre cd on this spell is gone. Also great cc is mind blast, done it on nightmare with every npc alive, also try to use as much taunts and shield bashes as you can. One more thing after the first part of defence before the animation begins save the game and try to run as soon as possible to help those by the church.

Keep the girls out of melee range. If one of your warriors have taunt, use it to contain the agro. When skellies do get loose and go after your range, use all of Morrigan's crowd control (mind blast/Cone of Cold) to stop the skellies in their track. To keep this happening to a minimum, have the girls attack the same target as Alistair or your warrior. Set each characters tactics to use a poultice if <X Health. The value of X will probably have to be determined by the amount of poultices you have - they can go through them very quickly.

If you're really in trouble, you can always run back up to the mill with some skeletons in tow and have the knights help you finish them off.

I assume your problem and what you refer to as the second wave is defending the town afterf holding them off from the Castle. unfortunately some of the assisstance you can get (the dwarf, the improved morale for the Knights) does not come back with you to the town.

Bascially, this is going to be a very long fight with nasties driblling in seemingly forever. Keep that in mind and use limited resources (heal spells, lyrium potions, healht potions) as carefully as you can. In absolute desperation run back up to the knights, getting enemies to pursue you and use the knights to kill off as many as possible while you renew health, stamina, and/or mana. This is a desperation moves as it sacrifices everyone in the village (thouhg not those in the Chantry), but it can work if you feel you just can't get past this battle. Personally, I think it is one of the hardest in the entire game--at least for a group low on healing spells and potions.

Try this. http://social.biowar...47/index/533071

It might have been just a game glitch as I only used this method once but as long as everyone has a ranged weapon it is pretty painless. The fight at the top of the hill is a cakewalk so long as you use the oil from the store to have burning barricades.
