Simple questions, refer to title.
I feel this is a more worthwhile question than "are you happy with the ending now?"
Don't list all the things you wanted, only state the #1 thing you wanted (from your supposed list) and whether or not the ending (original or extended) delivered. And do try to elaborate a bit rather than just leaving behind terse responses.
Me: The way I see it, the aftermath of a war is more meaningful than its conclusion. Otherwise, what have you won? For that reason, I'd say what I wanted most was an epilogue. I fought for the ME-Galaxy, so I want to the galactic state-of-affairs in the wake of the war, to know that it was "worth it." To that end, the original ending clearly did not satisfy. Extended-cut, however, did do this well enough for me and it went a long way in improving my opinion of the ending.
Go!
What did you want most from the ending? Did you get it?

A happy ending, Where the trilogy is wrapped up and the story is over i wanted to feel like i won, Not giving me that closure is a copout when Control-synthesis get that closure, I got all war assets, did everything possible that would make me win the war so why couldnt i get that closure, id understand if i just played ME3 on action mode as i wouldnt have invested alot into it.
And to this day i still havent got that closure

a good ending even if shepard dies or a happy ending, If the ending used the mass effect lore i wouldn't be here right but since bioware doesn't care about mass effect anymore why even try to make another mass effect game since there's no point

I wanted a finale that was more like ME2's. The decisions you make and the resources you gather go a long way in determining what ultimately happens.
I think BW kind of tried to accomplish this with some extended scenes, but I wanted to make more choices. I wanted to be able to decide what units fight where. I wanted to be able to call in my old allies as support (like the finale in Dragon Age:Origins).
I also wanted to have it out with Harbinger. That seemed like it would have been a great final battle.
Overall, no, I wasn't satisfied.

Besides saving the galaxy.....
The two things I wanted most was to see the impact my final choice had on the galaxy AND for it to make sense.
The Extended Cut gave me these things. I'm quite happy.

I don't get it because it makes no sense at all. If I got it, I might be unhappy with it, but I'd understand it. However, it makes no sense as I've said ad nauseum.

a sense that the galaxy didnt enter a new dark age when the relays appeared to be destroyed, i would have liked if it was possible (got a high enough rating) to have shepard survive (more then 1 exhale) but the new extended control ending somewhat healed the hole in my heart from the dagger that was the original ending..

I wanted to win, and have emotional closure with the characters (even if Shepard died - I actually didn't expect him to live going into it).
I guess I had to specify what was meant by "win", and also that it should be a scientifically sound win, and should not be tonnally off the rails. I figured it'd be obvious but....

Clarity and catharsis.
And no, not exactly, but there are a few things to appreciate from the rough idea of what BioWare attempted to accomplish.

At best, a FK YEAH feeling of kicking the reapers in the daddy bags and flying off into the sunset smoking a cigar with my LI.
At worst, MEHEM which is still a hell of a lot better than we got, IMHO.
The official ending didn't give either. Instead I was left to rot in a pile of rubble forever because some people wanted their Shepard to die.

Most important point? Closure for both the characters and the universe I left behind, if only by text (DA:O style), that's still fine.
Did the ending deliver?
Original ending: No.
Extended Cut: Meh, strong tendencies towards "no". The slides at least gave me an idea of how some of the characters are, however, they don't really provide actual closure and just make me ask more questions. Most of the slides don't reveal anything except the fact that these characters are alive... Same for the galaxy, I got hints, but no closure...

To feel victorious ... even if that meant sacrificing Shepard and/or some of the squad.
BioWare just didn't come up with an ending scenario that allowed me to feel like I truly won.

I wanted to know what happened to my main squad and Joker AFTER the war. I didn't need it explicitly stated ("...and Garrus retired to Tahiti and had 17 babies") but I would have liked to have seen them in the epilogue slides rebuilding their worlds. And no, I didn't get that.

I really wanted to see some of the more important war assets in action on the Ground. It was really depressing to see only human shuttles full of human soldiers and only two cut scenes involving any others. The first we get to see a turian throw a grenade and in the second, we see Turnians, Krogan and Asari commit suicide by ambushing a Reaper with a grenade launcher as their choice of heavy weapons. I would have loved to have been able to watch Geth dropships fly in, dropping in Geth primes but alas it was not so.
Honestly, post-EC, the endings don't bother me, but Priority Earth just really needed a lot of work.

I played thru the suicide mission last night...
I mean, ME3 could have ended somber and quiet.. But i wanted to feel some sort of build up and achievement. The closest it came has a pointless, emotion-breaking turret sequence in it.. Followed by the butchering of TIM and then the Reapers. Then breaking the entire themes and messages of the past 100 hours.

I wanted (still want) various, very different endings strongly influenced by the choices we made through all three games.

To feel like I did when ME2 ended (awesome), knowing that my choices had somewhat shaped the outcome. So like if I had the rachni, I wanted to see them on Earth, same with geth etc. I wanted to know that my choices mattered most of all, and know that the next guy, although playing completely differently, had got an insanely similar ending to me. This was the conclusion after all, and their needed to be a number of wildly different endings, all based around choices you, as the player made. A suicide esque mission on steroids really.

What I wanted was to destroy the Reaper, to know what effect my choices has, what happens to Normandy crew after the war and at least hint of what kind of future Shepard and his/her LI has.
Also multiple endings determined by choices made through trilogy
