The ending was just the point of the iceberg, not in a good way
What did you want most from the ending? Did you get it?

@OP:
I wanted a big-picture outcome I like. Which is, the opposite of any kind of "Dark Age Ending". I wanted an advancement-themed ending. The original endings spit in the face of what I wanted most with its neo-Luddite Romanticism, and EC Synthesis gave it to me in a most satisfying way. While I have issues with how that outcome is brought about and the absence of a coherent in-world rationale for Shepard's sacrifice, that has always been secondary to the outcome itself.I like the high EMS EC outcomes of Synthesis and Control, and they end my Shepards' story satisfactorily. Not that in my mind, it's really the end....

I didn't want anything. I was enoying playing through a story.
I am happy with what we got. Could it have been better? It's quality for starters isn't as good as the games' (<-note plural), not exactly bad on its own, but more kind of the end of a B series sci-fi.

Yes it is. not my picture though but I think it's the best version of her face, based on the photo, IMO.
I want to go to Rannoach and build that house with her.

I wanted an ending that ended the Reaper Threat. I wanted all questions about the Reapers answered. I wanted to make a difficult choice. I wanted closure.
Threat ended. Questions are Answered. I made a difficult choice. But my closure is forced to be headcanon. 3/4 ain't bad.

Meeting & helping war assets on Earth, leading to final victory, at whatever cost. Consequences to my choices shown, not imagined, my legacy onscreen, with the characters I fought with. The sense that everything lead up to this was important.
So, er, nope. Otherwise, I liked some of the allegory and subtext in the end, but the end to a space opera can't just be meta.

I want to know how Shepard survive and why two ideology that I have fight against with my squadmates become two of the possible endings, since I have not the choice to tell the people who believe in it that I'm with us but in fact tell them their wrong all the line. My Shepard has made two guys suicide, but they were right after all, oh and I'm full Paragon. I feel bad about that, so I want more explanation on that because starkid don't convince me.

I wanted to restore galactic society to its pre-war greatness and make the reapers pay for their crimes. Instead, I was forced to choose between rejecting the Catalyst and letting the galaxy die, or cooperating in the Catalyst's twisted design to eradicate galactic diversity.

Something that was emotionally satisfying and appropriate for the story. The first one I'm not so sure on but I do not think I got the second one.

To free the galaxy I helped shape from the Reapers. Of course the galaxy I helped shape gets radically altered in the end so no I didn't get what I wanted.

A fitting conclusion to one the greatest scifi saga's every created. Closure and to see my decisions come to fruition. Something emotionally engaging, and to once and for all defeat the reapers and have my Shep ride into the sunset on a perfect playthrough.
Did I get it?

An ending that made sense, did not punish Shepard for doing what they set out since ME and not be dying alone in rubble.
MEHEM gave me this.

But anyway I wanted the Reapers gone and Shepard to spend the rest of his life together with Tali.

I wanted an ending that reflected how well I did (even - or especially - if I did poorly) and that was a consequence of the game's overall theme (gathering forces for a battle). Obviously, I got nothing of that sort.
