I was wondering if it's confirmed that the returning Squad Mates be around for Priority Earth (or Cerberus Base)
can we bring them?

or is this just for the Citadel Mission and that's it?...

I think they hinted at it being standalone, for the lack of a better word. As far as I can understand the game will play out just like before when the DLC is over.

I do not believe that returning squad mates will be available from the squad selection screen anytime throughout the dlc. They probably will be available through certain parts of the dlc like liara was in the shadow broker dlc or they might just be around like jack was in the Grissom Academy mission.

They'll still be with Shepard "in spirit".

Perma squadmates need to have data already in the game(Zaeed, Kasumi and Javik are in the game files, what you are buying from the dlc varriers. For Zaeed and Kasumi it's the look, mission and dialog(except suicide misison dialog for Kasumi. For Javik it's his mission and dialog.) Because there are no other characters that have party member stuff already in the files, the chance of say Wrex, Miranda ect being a perma squadmate or joining on Earth/Chronos is very very slim. We will get to play with them on the dlc then hang out with them after, that's it.

some characters do have files already on disc for earth. from the top of my head its: grunt, jack+team, jacob and zaeed. all have dialog on the game disc, from earth, fighting on earth (during gameplay/cutscene, theres no in squad stuff)

Dialog is not the same as cutscenes or being in the squad. The only way it can work is tmep squadie.

No in fact I'm not quite sure it's even been confirmed that every ME2 character will be a temp squadmate.

It was of my understanding that Wrex is the only one that'll actually accompany Shepard into battle.

And possibly Miranda, considering the announcement pic.

I know from Priestly confrimation that Wrex is a squad mate.

If we're going by pics then this would include: Miranda, Wrex, Liara, Kaiden (what about Ash?)

Not about that stated so far. I believe not. It would fix a bad mission in the game. I mean ruin an artistic view that Bioware has of what the Earth mission.

I am pretty sure the press release said "Fight alongside the cast of ME1 and ME2, including Urdnot Wrex. Thus meaning, ALL former squadmates return. I am thinking it may play out like the suicide mission in the ME2 finale. We assign roles to different characters for the final battle of the DLC.

That would blow my mind...if it was true. And also make me more skeptical of Bioware.

Blow my mind - if it was like SM and played out like an amazing final mission.

Skeptical - if it was like SM and played out like an amazing final mission, should'nt it have already been in the game? Should we have to pay for this?

I will find out after watching it on Youtube. Then, i will wait for it to go on sale with the rest of the dlc.

In the Q/A, Preistly (I think it was him) said that the squadmates become available at the casino (or whatever) after all of their relevant conversations and missions in the regular game.

So, for example, Jack would not be available until after you've done Grissom Academy, and talked to her in Purgatory. By the same logic, I can't imagine that Miranda will be available until after you've done all of the Citadel conversations with her, and finished the mission on Sanctuary.

If that's the case, and you can also play the adventure portion of the DLC any time after the coup attempt, I have a hard time seeing how characters like Jack and Miranda will join you for the acutal missions. Just speculating here - but I think they'll only show up in the casino for leisure time.

You make a very good case. In fact, this is a great way of making squad mates only available at certain part of the game...

Thankfully we have WREX:lol:
