I'll just use the Executioner instead.
I am amazed by this gun! I put a scope on it for giggles... Holy ******!

If you need stasis to snipe then don't snipe. It's fun to headshot some grunts every now and then with my pistol as a asari but to use a sniper ? makes me cringe when I see stasis snipers.
The Valiant hardly weighs any more than the pistols, has a scope already attached and can use the HVB with no weight penalty.

EX pistol sounds good too tho, with the power module...
plus the commando gear

They may not NEED Stasis to snipe, but there's something oddly visceral and satisfying about it.
yeah this is what I was thinking.

For whatever reason there can be a whole gaggle of enemies but yet the only thing that gets shot at is the baddie in the bubble.

Valiant X is good with it, Executioner X is ok... but M11-Suppressor is better and Paladin X is THE BEST (it also gives you better cooldown)
Since the introduction of suppressor i've been thinking it would be the best IF i didn't have to go to ammo crates so often... so right now, Paladin still wins

The Ex pistol is powerful and deals some serious damage to bosses, but even with the heavy barrel, in stasis I wouldn't always take down a shielded/barrier collector (wasn't using phasic).
I found the Valiant to be much better weapon for my purposes, on the AA. It was odd, but the kick is so hard on the Ex pistol that I actually had to start aiming for the chest or neck, because otherwise I would plain miss the head - couldn't tell if I was getting HS or not. If I would aim for those big juicy collectors heads, I would miss, Maybe it was lag, but it felt like the kickback actually has an effect on the bullet trajectory - something I am not used to.
The valiant worked really nicely with the AA cooldown. 3 shots, and stasis or another power was just about ready. reload is nearly instant, and the scope is a nice one. With the Ex, the timing seemed a bit off to me.
I tried the M-11, and may look at it again, but I didn't like it at first.
Do AP mods stack (i.e. heavy barrel and piercing mods)? Also, am I correct in that the heavy barrel and heavy scope do not really add weight to the Valiant in-game?

Yes, they do stack and no they do not add weight. If you can get over the lrn2ply n00b comments in the lobby, the gun works really well on her. It still could use a slight buff, though.
