Full damage mines, skip AP arrows and go full fitness for survivability. Just blow everything up with your mines. The bow is pretty useless right now.

His bow is really... poopy
It's fun to watch mooks flying off the map sky high with concussive bow, but it still lacks the damage.
Using mine is really fun though.

The only reports of success so far have been from people avoiding the arrows and focusing on the mines. Only three mines can be placed at any one time; placing the fourth will detonate the first. People have had strong results mining spawn points, waiting for enemies to appear, and then laying more mines to detonate those already placed. The mines deal a lot of damage, so entire spawns can be wiped.
Not much positive feedback on the arrow powers, so perhaps just use these skills for the extra grenade evo's.
I've only played one game myself, and had little luck with the bolt powers. The mines are good when they trigger, but I struggled to set them so that they triggered on smaller enemies by themselves. It may be too early to rule on the effectiveness of the class yet though.

I screwed up my build the first time focusing on omni bow powers, power damage and omni bow damage (ignoring shield bonuses), I would recommend leaving out AP arrows an maxing out everything else, with mines upgraded for damage and AP capabilities conc. arrows for extra capacity and emergencies when you're ambushed by mooks, also focus on shield fitness, use the concussive arrows with the stun upgrade to set up detonations with mines, your choice for focusing on power damage or weapon damage

I find that the Cain Mine doesn't always hold a steady beam across larger doorways. Does radius of mine effect this?

I've had allot of fun with him. Bow is pretty worthless. I use points on the bow for extra grenades. Mines and strong heavy weapons. You dont need cooldown time anyway...

is what i think is the best build for him. 5m radius CTM's 8(you can use GCV i just hate having such low shields) I used the shocking conncusion arrows and pretty much only light meleed them, but the chill seems to be just better after having played him a bunch.
The grenade regen cd is around every 53ish seconds with -200% weapons weight, so take your pick free grenade or 10% weapon dmg. If you take points in AP you loose access to your TCR's from my respecs.

If anyone out there is wondering how he plays right now, I played with him on silver against the reapers recently, he's a beaut. Sacrificing all the shield related stuff (except for the 15% quicker recharge) makes his heavy melee a one hit kill with a husk and cannibal (armoured or not). I skipped the cain mine to spice things up, I can't comment on the Concussive Arrows because I was preoccupied with trying to figure out how his melee works (slipped my mind) and once I did I was using the AP Arrows to knock down fully armpited Banshees with several AP Arrow shots - this character means business. Same thing for Ravagers and Brutes. His biggest weakness would have to be the Marauders because my build was so flimsy and I have a lousy reaction time I had to work on their shields first for the applied arrows to make a dent. The arrows are fine for stripping shields but unless you're willing to waste the finite ones on a boogie's shields, I'd suggest you keep your Acolyte handy.
