I decided to do a solo silver run on my level 20 Krogan Warlord.
6/6/4/4/6 build, pure melee.

Out of curiosity (and partially because I kept getting the damn thing), I wanted to try out my Batarian Gauntlet III on him.

Only gear I had on him was the gauntlet and a regaar.
This is actually a pretty decent combo. You're still able to do the 1-2-punch combo with the hammer, thus making your hammer abilities still viable. And personally, I feel the combo does more damage than the plain heavy attack.

From what I can tell, the gauntlet does more damage then an unmodified hammer strike would do. And like I said, I never use the heavy hammer for my biotic/tech hit. I also found the hammer harder to aim (believe it or not) then the gauntlet.

Now, here's where I need help. I can't tell if the gauntlet grants the 90% DR it does to Batarians. If it does, it's a no brainer for the Warlord to have it. While you're using the gauntlet, your health regen will work wonders with only 10% incoming damage. So, the question is, does is grant the DR or not?

The Batarian Gauntlet gear only gives you 50% damage reduction so it's not as good as the natural one on the Batarians.
