wow, a cool description!

So in other words, there is no difference.

yep but, in spite of even IGN saying they should do something with the ending of they want the DLC not to fall flat, Bioware does not seem to care

How did they manufacture a plaque for Shepard?
Do they have a plaque maker somewhere on the Normandy?
How do they even know he's dead?
If they bothered to make a plaque in the first place, they must've received word from a radio.
Or if they didn't, were they just assuming he was dead?
Where was the rest of the Normandy crew at Shepard's memorial?
Why didn't they fly of Gilligan's Planet first to confirm his status before even doing anything?

Wouldn't an Alliance Funeral to honor the lost and the greatest hero in the galaxy, with hundreds of soldiers and most of the major characters present, been a more appropriate scene?

and made more sense?

Yeah, and we hoped we'd get a decent ending.

I guess everybody loses, but at least we have artistic integrity

Seriously, they would be crazy to do nothing. ME3 ended with a whimper when it should have ended with a bang!

The same force that told them that Anderson died, despite having absolutely no way of knowing that. They're unsure about Shepard, but that Anderson? Not a chaaaance.

ICly, I would assume that if you played a Shepard who is more of the destroy mindset, they just have a gut feeling she/he didn't die just yet. After all, it wouldn't be the first time.

Particularly if your LI is Liara, Garrus, Tali, Ashley or Kaidan. This is like Death Scare # Eight Million for them.

But if you didn't have a high enough EMS they seem to know you're dead.

In that situation, I imagine the lower EMS blast would have damaged the citadel beyond the point of being able to support life. At that point they'd have their hopes pretty deteriorated.

I would say both. Really the only thing that can't be comprehended is how they actually thought this ending would be good, and received well by the players. Although I can't technically say they did nothing, because there's the EC. But that was suppose to be Bioware's saving throw, and they rolled a 2.

Even 1 year later, i'm still pretty bummed over the whole thing. It could've been SO good. It could've been the trilogy to remember. The one that you look back on 10 years from now and think "Yup....it didn't get any better than that."

The only thing I can do is cherish the first two games and pretend the third game never happened.

well at least you have the MEHEM

also, the EC was not a chance roll, bioware KNEW what the fans wanted and just chose to deliver something else

Oh wait...I an sorry I forgot that it was not exactly what the fans wanted according to some huge but invisible spreadsheets

Wait, what?  Of course Shepard's alive.  He's right there!  And he's putting Anderson's plaque on the wall, not his own.  Putting his own plaque up there would be silly.

Oh, you mean  EC's ending.  Yeah that makes no sense at all.  It's like Bioware was trying to alienate their fans ro something.

It's an extension mod for the current Destroy ending.

It stands for Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending Mod, and it lets you play the game start to finish without ever having to step foot in the technicolour chamber of death. It also even has a reunion scene...

Only available on PC so far. I'd include a link but I'm hella tired, I'm sure someone will though :)
