It's an extension mod for the current Destroy ending.

wrong. It is not an extention, it's something completely different. Technically there is no "destroy" ending in mehem. No tubes are shot, no glowboy are spoker too. Just the activating of the console and the destruciton of the Reapers. All that needed to happen in the first place basically.

It stands for Mass Effect 3 Happy Ending Mod, and it lets you play the game start to finish without ever having to step foot in the technicolour chamber of death. It also even has a reunion scene...

Only available on PC so far. I'd include a link but I'm hella tired, I'm sure someone will though :)

Oh? I just so happen to be gaming on a pc. Is it a pain in the ass to install?

No, Bioware didn't deliver exactly what you wanted, and that's the reason you are mad.

Don't pretend that you, or anyone else who doesn't liked the endings, are speaking for all
the fans. You don't, you never did.

Unfortunately I haven't tried it out myself, I'm holding out until after the Citadel dlc...

But you can check it out here.

I really don't get this scene. Obviously the point they're trying to get across is that shaprd didn't die, but how does my crew know? My first answer to that question was "They have coms, so somebody told them" but if that's the case, then why even get that plaque out in the first place? Somebody tell me they've figured out this scene, please.

It's entirely symbolic, like how talking to Anderson lowers the requirment for waking up by 1000 EMS. Unfortunately, my interpretation has suffered a genocide and is not to be mentioned here.

Yes they left it to interpretation but it really isn't that confusing. It's very probable that C-Sec would send a search team to look for survival at ground zero. They found Anderson's corpse and are still looking for others including Shepard.

It comes off a little confusing because the scenes aren't in chronological order, but there are plenty of ways to explain it without resorting to saying that the LI is just psychic.

You have every right  to speak out about the ending. Just don't pretend that your point of view is the only valid one.
This Game sold about 4 Million times, there are plenty of Fans who are Happy, or at least OK, with the endings.

I feel the need to ask why you're here, trying to get a point across that's common knowledge. This is what your argument looks like from the outside:

Person 1: "People like coke."

Person 2: "Some people like pepsi too! You don't speak for all of us."

My main Shep chose Destroy and his LI was Liara. Liara's gift in Priority Earth made me think that she and Shep had a bond that spanned the galaxy or something.

My interpretation?

It's faulty writing, that's all.

It's virtually impossible to integrate the breath-scene into the EC in a meaningful fashion. Why? See here:
No matter where you place the breath-scene in the chronology, it always fails to add up.

If Shepard re-gains consciousness BEFORE the memorial scene, then it makes no sense for the crew to even consider putting up her plaque: I seriously doubt that any of Shep's friends would be willing to consider the commander deceased without some DEFINITE and incontrovertible proof, especially after she came back from the dead in ME2.
I suppose you could argue that the breathing-scene teaser does not necessarily mean Shep survives - but then it makes no sense for the LI not to put up the plaque, and for the breath scene to be shown at the very end.

So, option two: everything's shown in chronological order, and the breathing-scene takes place AFTER the Normandy departs paradise planet.
That'd mean that nobody's been looking for survivors aboard the Citadel, and that Shepard has been buried under rubble for days, if not weeks, without anybody bothering to patch her up.

Conclusion: it's just one of the many failures of the EC. They kept previous material in there, but it does not really integrate into the re-vamped version.

Is this the part where we make passive aggressive comments to each other while using 'cute' emoticons to avoid appearing annoyed? I don't play that game. Stop arguing meaningless semantics because you have no real defense of the ending to offer. If you like it, that's fantastic, I wish I did too. Don't run amok on the forums like a jilted child; however, just because the majority doesn't agree with you.

Or option 3: it's not in chronological order. This seems more likely considering the epilogue came before both the memorial plaque and breath scene. If they can't definitively tell if Shepard is dead or alive during the memorial plaque then it could mean that Shepard is up and about without the immediate notice of the rescue team.

They would never have definitive evidence of shepard's death no matter what. He gets vaporized when you pick the other two options.

Logistically, it doesn't make sense.

But its function within the EC is clear: it's intent is to tell the gamer that Shepard survived.

It was just handled so obtusely that people are reading too much into it.

Shepard survives high-EMS destroy. Nothing more.

I would pay so much money to be a fly on the wall in Bioware's 'writing room' or whatever.

"Hey, let's scramble the chronological order."

"...Why?"

"BECAUSE, BOB! GOD! COME ON MAN! People will be so impressed with it! It's going to be 'different' and 'edgy'!

"Alright! Jesus! Just calm down!"

Then they go back to smacking their heads against the desks, and watching twilight.

Plenty of movies and TV shows scramble the order of events every now and then. Considering Mass Effect was always a soap opera in space, I'd say it's quite fitting.

Usually there's some breathing room for you to process the information and put things together, but it's just not there with the EC. Everything happens so quickly that I was left a bit stupified, especially coming off the heels of that chat with starbrat.

I disagree. In fact I think some of the segments dragged out longer than it should have.

But ofcourse, it's subjective. I think most people can clearly understand the intention of plaque not being put up + breath scene.
