I have the 4-in-1 combination of both BG games with both expansions. Both BG1 and TOSC work fine, as does BG2. However, once I install ToB, the load menu for the game becomes unreadable. All the text is scrambled, blurred, and completely unreadable. Only by sheer memory of where the buttons are located can I navigate these menus. If I load a game, the same things continues within. All text is scrambled and unreadable. I have tried all sorts of things as far as messing with the settings, resolutions, etc. but nothing seems to do the trick. Please advise.

Try cleaning the disc. It could be just dirt that is causing the problem, that is if you have discs and haven't downloaded from GoG. Another possibility is a scatched disc. A problem such as that is usually visible.
Another potential problem is that you have recieved a ToB disc from a different zone such as the USA/Canada, but from your description, that isn't the case on this occasion.
If cleaning doesn't solve the problem, you need to offer more info.
Just make sure that you don't install under program files. That also causes problems as new versions of windows are alergic to people changing existing programs.

Hm. Was this a first time install or did you re-install over an old install? When re-installing It's best to uninstall, and then delete the entire folder.
Actually it's probably best to do a full clean install, including the official patch, then zip up your override and all the files in your install folder (excluding directories), and never have to re-install again. I never do that though.
Otherwise try this: http://www.gamebansh...-problem.119529

Oddly enough, the solution was to turn OFF 3D acceleration. Three cheers for trial and error! I had originally installed all four at once. The first game and expansion worked without a hitch, but when I started on BGII was when I first had the error. After several attempts at playing with the configuration and some creative googling, I found a couple other people having mentioned my problem but no one presented a solution. So I uninstalled SoA&ToB and just installed the SoA portion. Without ToB installed, SoA worked without a hitch so my concern was that perhaps my ToB was somehow corrupt. But turning off 3D Acceleration seems to be the key.

Excellent, good detecting, trial by error is cool.
I assume your 3d acceleration managed to draw you 3 rectangles, it's not as if you can avoid that check. I've only recently started passing it myself, before I would always have to disable 3d acc. So beware kiddies, just because the 14 year old graphics engine thinks it's working, doesn't mean it is.
