Yes, obviously.  And the Krogan isn't? He's as big as a Banshee yet gets lifted like a origami figure.

The Geth Jugg being large isn't the reason why it is immune to sync kills. Don't try and pretend it is..

Then what is it that the Juggernaut has that no other character in the game has that makes it immune to Sync kills?

So much armor that nothin can penetrate it. Side effect includes not being able to run.

And that Krogen doesn't have enough Armor? Tech armor, that huge set of armor that covers every incho of it's body, redundant organs, the ability to induce a rage that apparently pushes bullets out of his body with sheer force of will? I'm surprised that a human's foot coming down on his hardened chest is enough to execute him honestly. :innocent:

I meant lore wise. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie] Otherwise, by that explaination, a crippled child could not be sync killed because he could not run.

I understand the whole "he can run" argument, but have you tried making a U-turn with this ****ing guy? Fighting bosses on glacier is not a good day. If he was a bit faster walking backwards, he would be amazing.

And each class in the game has a ROLE!

The role of the Paladin sentinel is to tank incoming damage with that shield and troll geth enemies with sabotage (ASSUMING CONTROL of the geth units)

Most other classes are more offense- oriented (damage dealer, coverhugger)

Then there are support- classes that improve the other teammates:
The N7 Demolisher Engineer (is mostly damage dealer, but supply pylon can recharge shields too); The Geth Engineer (shield recharging Geth turret), the Asari adept (the one with the bubble) and lastly ANY volus (they are the best supporters because of the powerful shield boost), preferably the volus adept because of the cooldown bonus of the biotic orbs

The Geth Juggernaut is a more-less purely defensive unit that is supposed to soak up tons of damage and deal with a few dangerous individuals. It is NOT a offensive unit

The offensive-oriented counterpart is the Krogan warlord, it is a 100% Melee fighter (similar to the N7 shadow infiltrator- shadow strike build) and is supposed to deal HEAVY melee damage.

and to all of you using it: PLEASE PUT ON THE TECH ARMOR!!
I still see quite alot of Warlords running around without Tech Armor.
The tech armor gives you additional protection AND boosts you Melee damage

If the Krogan had the same amount of armor... It couldn't run either. And if I understand mass effect fields right then swords and hands actually have better penetration because of their speed.

My suspicion is that the people who complain about the Krogan Warlord being able to be sync killed are the same people who I see running around that only ever melee, and never fire their gun.

Get a good weapon, something that you are comfortable with, that will soften up enemies. When you are fighting normal enemies, go ahead and run around, weaving and ducking behind objects, and then smash all the things. (Which, by the way, the Juggernaut can't do)

When you fight a boss-type, shoot them in the head. Throw some melee attacks in when it's distracted, but if it's fighting you, just keep shooting it and backing away. When you bring it down to the point where you know your biotic hammer will kill it, go ahead and smash it in the head.

Or, if you're feeling risky or confident, smash it with biotic hammer counting on it to stagger (especially if you took the force upgrade), and then keep shooting it.

The Krogan is a Krogan.. It is physically more capable than the geth may have been designed to be. What I might believe is that the Juggernaut's shields are calibrated in a way that others are not. Maybe Geth were the first to figure out how to make their shields repell slower moving things like swords or Banshee Claws. However, if that was the case, all melee would be useless against the Juggernaut.

Still. A Krogan gets stabbed, and ALL his redundant vital organs get hit? Through Tech armor, shields, regular armor, hardend skin, great ammounts of raw muscles, and an amazing healing capacity? Gotta give those Phantoms serious credit then... And Brutes. How does a Brute beat down that Krogan? :D

From a balance standpoint, I completely understand. Logically though? It makes absolutely no sense in the least.

Oh man, speaking of trolls, the Paladin doesn't have sabotage.

His hammer will be nerfhammered instantly if he was made immune to sync kills.
Or would you rather the Juggernaught was OHKillable as well? Man that'd be extremely frustrating.

I think it perfectly acceptable to make well justified gameplay improving decision even if it didn't fall perfectly within the laws of physics and logic.

ah, sorry, I meant energy drain, my bad :D
Kinda mistook the 2 powers (energy drain is nice too against geth)
ah, crap, quoted the wrong comment, I wanted to quote the one above it, the one about the sabotage Paladin

Thats the reason the creators gave. "A big robot like that shoudn't die because a hand is shoved through him." So yea, it kinda is. Said I believe during the livestream showing off the classes.

I was sync-killed on a ramp in London last night, by a Banshee whilst playing as a Warlord.  I suspect they may have silently fixed this little "feature"

This suggestion always makes me laugh. Yea sure, I'll magically conjure up a staircase every time I see a boss enemy.

Next DLC gives new gear!

He can kill a phantom, on plat, in one heavy melee if a charge is attached and in rage. He have to have one weakness.

If you right: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

But I think you might be wrong, I have stand in many ramps and I havn't been synced jet.

Edit - but then I've not played london since the new DLC.

And yes, it is well balanced. This class is NOT offensive-oriented, it is a almost 100% DEFENSIVE class and its task is to TAKE the damage and pick off the enemies that are most dangerous for the team to deal with with heavy melee (Phantoms) and they can simply block the way of a boss enemy (no, not with the HEX shield, but the Juggernaut is quite large, it can block a doorway by standing there)

Try speccing him for melee. I had a chance of dying as Taylor Swift singing that one song about that one boy. "I am never ever ever, going to die." Geth Turret, Hex Shield, and damage reduction from your Pulse Cannon makes you impossible to kill. Just Heavy Melee behind the shield, and even Gold Atlasses can be tanked.

EDIT: Oh, and the bit about the stairs, I recall that you have to be on a different elevation. If you're standing beside them on the same level, you can still be sync-killed.

Maybe it wasn't a choice, just something the devs couldn't avoid.

Given the size of Juggy a Banshee could try to pick him up but his feet would still be on the ground. That would seriously mess up their animations.

Because Opness. Jugg can only walk, Krolord can run, also he regens health. If he was inmune to sync kills, he may turn Op. I still think that Phantoms syncs are just stupid against him, but you can still run just like any other char.
Also now Atlas has a new Teddy Bear  ^_^

because being stabbed in the knee by a phantom would not kill a jugg.
