Like the Atlas - Ravagers also suffer from double/triple hit issues

Last night while doing some testing on the new Reckoning content with corlist when we stumbled upon this:

(testing crusader vs ravager will give an inflated sense of performance)
(pretty sure scions suffer from this also - will test later)

All tests were done on the same forever healing ravager that had the venom sacks already popped ..

Well that would explain how my Crusader just shreds Ravagers, and the occasional inconsistency of how many shots it takes.

What do the numbers mean? Do I get double/triple damage with certain weapons against Ravagers/Scions/Atli?

If they fix the double/triple hit, they have to fix Ravagers occasionally not taking damage to Bio. Expolsions, and Atlas never missing rocket, and Shadow Strike not working, but they probably won't.

Plus to be honest, I dont mind this bug at all lol

Noticed this some time ago. To me it seems like max damage is done when hitting Ravagers with the sacks [important?] in their 'eye', thus projectiles hit his body where the 'eye' is located, then sacks, then the back part of the body.

Weird.

If you look closely, you should notice its eyes, too

Back on topic, that should explain why I can OSK them when I play my GI/Javelin...

Hm, did you think it might have slipped through as one because it has the same overheat mechanic?

And this explains why I once got a headshot medal out of the blue after killing a ravager.

Hmmm, thanks for sharing, I never noticed that. I always just popped the big sack then shot for the circle. This explains even better why damage was inconsistant.

hmm I always try to avoid popping the sack since it drops a lot of swarmers.

Doesn't the Ravager drops Swarmers on death anyway? I just pop them to kill the Swarmers right there and then.

Interesting. No wonder why I can get massive damage on them with low damage shotguns. I wonder if hitting that same spot with the M-11 Supressor will yield the x4 headshot multiplier...

I really appreciate your efforts Peddro but to be perfectly honest I dont understand any of those numbers....LOL....I read the title of the message and get a clear picture of what you will explain later, but I guess math is not my thing

 I always suspected this since when sniping with a Javelin/BW there are a lot of times when I sometimes get super ghetto damage, even though I know I hit them, and sometimes - woah! One-shot/almost one-shot. xD

I am almost sad that you posted this, I hope BW doesn't double the Ravager's armor now. Sometimes they are a joke, but sometimes they are sniping you from everywhere on Jade while you are trying to disable a device so I don't need them to be harder to kill. :lol:

But excellent finding anyway, keep up the good work as usual. ;)

Some of the numbers represent damage inflicted and time intervals between attacks .. That is the in game measured test data ...

The second part represents damage calculated after, according to the damage forumula the game uses ...It should match the test data and help explain it .

Hopefully FreekOne's 3d model analysis will reveal more precise instructions ... 

Atm I would say  front/back hits have more chances than hits from the sides ...

I always start by destroying the front sac and hit the center of the stomach. It's funny how fast they die like that.

Before I knew this weakspot, I always had this fear of ravagers. But now, everytime I see one, I just rush and get it over with.
