Krogan_Warlord (Gold and Platinum)

Gold Warlord build (Boss killer):
1) Tech Armor(5) - Durability(4b), Melee Damage(5b)
2) Biotic Hammer(6) - Force and Damage(4a), Armor Damage(5b), Number of Charges(6b)
3) Electrical Hammer(6) - Shields & Barrier(4a)*, Chill(5b), Number of Charges(6b)**
4) Krogan Warlord(3) - leave at 3.
5) Warlord Rage(6) - Melee damage (4a), Martial Arts(5a), Pure Rage(6a)

* - If you do not want to be a Boss Killer, you can take Rank 4b - Radius, which will increase the survival in the crowd because of AoE stun effect.
** - If you choose Radius, it gives you a good opportunity for Tech Burst with your team, you can take Rank 6a - Radius and Combo.

At the "Gold", the radius of skills can not take into account, if you are playing well enough and are able to control a single target.

Platinum Warlord build (Melee Debuffer):
1) Tech Armor(5) - Durability(4b), Melee Damage(5b), ***
2) Biotic Hammer(6) - Force and Damage(4a), Armor Damage(5b), Number of Charges(6b)
3) Electrical Hammer(6) - Radius(4b)*, Chill(5b), Radius and Combo(6a*)
4) Krogan Warlord(3) - leave at 3 or Skip it all**
5) Warlord Rage(6) - Durability(4b), Martial Arts(5a), Pure Rage(6a)

* - strongly recomended for improve total survive ability, and combos with team.
** - if u'll skip "Krogan Warlord" skill tree, put free points in Rank 6 Tech Armor - Durability
*** - Rank 6 Durability helps to stay alive.

Also, any kind of stagger weapon will be ur best friend.
Omni-blade V is necessary upgrade. (Shogun or Assault rifle)

Will add more comments soon.

P.S.
For Tuchanka!!!

For the platinum build, why not go 4a for more melee damage, instead of durability? Do the extra shields really make that much of a difference in survivability for the cost of melee damage?

I have not tried him on Platinum yet. On Gold I have had some success with 0 pts in Electric.

I have seen one random guy play Warlord on Platinum and it did not end well.

30% of melee dmg will not allow u onehitkill with most of platinum targets (armored/barrier).
but 4b helps to keep Kroglord alive and give a chance to second success melee hit

Have you tried using 5a (power damage) on tech armor. I was wondering if it would help OHK  a small group on platinum with electric hammer?

So far it's known that the skills of Kroglord calculated as melee, most builds done with that in mind.
Also with Tech armor 5a Rank, Kroglord will be obtained only 30% of skill dmg instead 40% of melee. But 10% is real good distinction i think, cause we don't have any "SKILL POWER" synergy skills.(excluding Krogan Warlord Tree, because very small percent of synergy bonus which usually ignore)

ok, thanks. I specced for melee. I was just curios if anyone had tried it. Your right his power damage is small, probably not worth trying

Is his power damage small? Biotic Hammer can do over 6000 damage.  That's power damage.  A 3 hit combo with melee is over 15,000.

Charged hammer has 2 separate damage calls as well. The power of the charge (Biotic / Electric), and melee. Melee damage is applied first, then the power damage. Each benefits from the respective buffs (melee or power damage). Weirdly, the power seems to get omniblade bonus too.

As for Tech Armor evolutions, melee is better for mooks and power is better for bosses.

Here is testing by corlist

I got my warlord a few days ago. I'm in the 'choose one hammer and max everything else' camp. I gave the electric hammer a go first since my friend is using biotic hammer. I then tried the biotic hammer for the extra damage. I actually switched back to electric, because I like the crowd control and debufs. So far mostly doing Gold. Haven't done platinum yet, but even on gold, I don't feel that belong in a toe to toe match with primes unless they're alone.. With either hammer.

I've been using the chill effect, but then watched invaderone's platinum video, and he's doing fire. He was going on and on about setting up tech explosions with incendiary ammo. I thought you wanted opposite effect types? Then I thought I read something about just chilling a target may not prime them? Between the fire effect or chill effect which, if either, should be better for tech explosions? On a side note, I KNOW I like the chill effect for hit and run on prime groups!

Edit: Oh yah, My other skills:
Max durability with tech armor.
Power damage, power damage, weapon damage on warloard.
Durability, martial arts, pure rage.
