I did not know this but it should be confirmed who is and who isn't just so we all know. well atleast thats what i think.

And you're of the opinion that you or I are important enough that it should be confirmed to us who was a tester and who was not?

Yes comrade....NO! i am pissed as hell that this guy isn't banned if he did get that armor illegally then why isnt he?

Do you know for a fact that he isn't a tester? No? Then why get the fire going to burn him at the stake so quickly? I'm just as irritated that it hasn't been released when people are apparently able to play it as you are, but that's no reason to go on a witch hunt and start searching for people who may or may not have been testers and burning them at the stake. If Bioware truly cares, they'll do something. If not, the witch hunt will do nothing productive.

Grow up. Him having the armor does not affect you in any way. You're throwing slanderous comments around, claiming he stole the armor without any proof and just throwing a paddy.

You will get RtO in due time, just be patient. If he's stolen it, then chances are he could be punished. If not, then I wouldn't be surprised if you're still throwing a fit.

He could also have it legitimately if rumors from earlier are believed.

Someone showed screenies showing RtO in their Available Content page, so this guy could have just gotten lucky. Or he's somehow gotten an advance copy of RtO (could be a BioWare employee, could be a less-than-legal method).

I don't think it's fair to call him out as a thief before anything's proven.

Interestingly enough I believe he is the same person who posted the screenshots and had a whole thread last night about it buying it because it showed up in his Available Content but not being able to download it.

But that's not our business.  That's between him and BioWare.

It's none of your business if I lie to my spouse; you have no right to investigate that, even if someone tells you I did.

The "leaked" version of RtO does have bugs, don't remember what they are. I don't support "pirate's", nor do I do it, but do find it strange how it's online and not available yet. And I don't think all "pirate's" are bad. The friend which I speak of had DA:O days before it came out, and still went and bought it after it was released, which he said he intends to do when RtO comes out. So condemn a person all you want, but if the company which sells the product ends up getting their money, then what's the biggy?

I looked at his achievments and he has one called in war victory description killed the ogre that killed cailan. I seriously want to know if he got this illegally.

Read my last post.

Y'know, they've shown that people who 'pirate' are far more likely to purchase things than their non-pirate comrades.

Food for thought.

So what? They are still robbing the people that worked to create that amazing content. The law is way too lenient on pirates. They should be imprisoned for life without parole or any other loophole that could ever get them out.

I was pretty surprised seeing one day an online profile of one of my collegues who was playing on the pirated version of DA. I would not expect that you could have your own online account with not genuine serial key

We're paying customers we should know at least. So if one of our peers has done something illegally bioware could take proper action.

How would you like to work day and night and extremely long hours only to have people steal the product of your work before you gain a peeny for it?

True. I have never pirated a game (too stupid to know how, plus my PC is a PoS), but... yes, I doubt there are many people who have not illegally downloaded films and music without feeling guilty about it.

I would bet chances are 1:100 he's a beta tester. yes, that number is an estimate but, I consider it on the low side, consering how many people pirate stuff.

It's unnecessary to have another thread associated with RtO and any discussion of piracy.

Because obviously downloading pirated software is a more serious and dangerous offense than murder, rape, or pedophilia. Obviously.

Yeah, I saw that, too. Just didn't want to get the guy in any trouble...
