Sorry if I'm asking something that has probably been asked before, but I tried searching the last 20 minutes and couldn't find an answer.
I own all three games, and have yet to play ME3. I want to get a character through all three so I started over at the first one. I beat ME1 yesterday, and transfered over into ME2. The way ME1 works, is you have to complete EVERYTHING you want to carry over before you beat the game, because the game creates an "invisible" end game save once you beat it. Only these "invsiible" saves can be imported into ME2.
Now, in ME2, there are some things that I would like to play AFTER the suicide mission (Lair of the Shadow Broker, Overlord, and Arrival), but didn't know how the transfrer system works going into ME3. Does ME2 create another "invisible" end game save after the suicide mission? If so, does that mean I should complete EVERYTHING before going into the suicidie mission?
Thanks for the help.
P.S. I'm a 360 user if that helps any.

Do not worry. You can complete any unfinished missions after the suicide mission and the data will still transfer over to ME3. When importing a character into ME3, you are prompted to select a save, so you can select any post-suicide mission save you have.
Note: Before importing into ME3, I recommend that you load you last ME2 save and then reassign all your talent points, but do not put any of those points into your powers, and then create a new save (so you have 51 unassigned points). The reason you want to do this is that when importing into ME3, your point allocations will transfer over to your ME3 import, but some of the power evolutions have changed and each class also has one new power. This will allow you to start your character in ME3 at same level you finished ME2, but with all available points unassigned so you can allocate them to whichever powers you want.
