Auto-revive makes the AIU unique? Don't make me laugh. Excuses for bad players needing a crutch is what it is!

So I just got online on my Xbox and wanted to level up my level 10 AIU, HardcoreSalmon was online so we did a relaxing Gold duo. We wanted to do it without using the OP Repair Matrix so Salmon used a build without it and I had two ranks in it so I used it during pizza delivery to move faster but not more than that.

Salmon had full Fitness on his character while I went with no Fitness, he used Shield Power Cells III while I used Cyclonic I.

End result without using Repair Matrix was an easy and relaxing Gold duo with 10 waves survived. So anyone that really believes that this class need to have the auto-revive in order to make it "unique" should go hide in a closet somewhere because that argument is just plain stupid. There is no need for the auto-revive except for making bad players soloing Platinum without breaking a sweat.

Pictures for anyone interested:

Well, you know, cloak.

Anyway, I fail to see the point of this thread.
Of course you don't need to spec into the revive ability, but it's still there, combined with cloak. *shrug*
And it's the only class having that power, so yeah, it makes her unique.

The point is that people are trying to protect this "unique" class by preventing a nerf to the auto-revive. But in reality it is just a cover up for people being too bad to play the game. This thread is a testament to show that those arguments are invalid. A useless ability for the class which only supports bad gameplay by bad players, that's all it is.

I don't really get what you're trying to say. It makes her unique because you are allowed to take risks that you normally wouldn't be able to. I like being reckless every now and then. It's a game. I like to have fun sometimes and not wear my tryhard pants. Also lol @ "But in reality it is just a cover up for people being too bad to play the game"

Hey dumdum, auto-revive isn't going anywhere, so you may want to get used to it and just keep playing without it specced.

Like I said in my thread. Skilled players wont need it or barely even use it even as a safety net. Unskilled players may need it. Either way it goes its a video game and I personally play for fun. If a bad player needs to use it to keep up with the team then by all means use it so i dont have to pick you up rambo. Image IPB

who cares if bad players want to use it, how does that affect you? you can obviously solo or duo gold so you never need to play with randoms anyway... if you dont need to the repair matrix dont use it...let people who want to use it and revive themselves a million times use it...thats all

Is the Auto-revive a crutch for bad/new players? Yes.
Does it need to go? No

I'm not sure if I understand the point of the thread.

Why does Hardcore Salmon only have a Claymore IV & Acolyte II?

Even if Repair Matrix didn't autorevive, I would still spec into it. You're missing out on DR & Speed bonuses.

I use it for the shields, and speed.

I find the revive function bugged, and it only works about 50% of the time. It also tends to result in an immediate second death, since if I screwed up badly enough to go down, I'm not getting back up instantly without problems.

And the newbie players I've seen using it are completely unable to survive with it, so I don't think your point stands in the slightest. How can you argue the power is a crutch when you  haven't even experimented with it? Shouldn't you do that first, before determining it is OP and a crutch?

Good players use stimpack and repair matrix to quickly kill enemies. Bad players use them to stay alive.

Yeah, solos. That's a real problem. smh

Not the fact that free gel/ops in 'nade form hurts the real grenades users on a team .

This game is getting so ****ing stupid. Next every character will get God Mode so no one can ever die, and all enemies can be killed in one shot.

I have found t more trouble than it's worth and may spec out of it. Being auto revived with a Banshee/Phantom/Praetorian standing on your head is never a fun experience.
And in the whole 2 times I've had repair matrix active when getting downed that is exactly what has happened.
That power is a sync-kill units wet dream

What is the point of this thread? Showing off? What about the DR and Shield Regen?
You probably don't like the auto-revive, but this is no way to start a discussion; and after all that is what a forum is made for.

I confess!  I also spec into BC on Vanguards, Biotic Focus on the Cabal, Shield Boost for the Volus, Healing Turret on the GE, and Armor on classes that provide it.  Image IPB

OP, maybe you would have better illustrated your point if you followed a random using the AIU around in a PUG and played highlights of the game to Chumbawamba's Tubthumping.
