Training wheels? Well, first you play Bronze, when you get used to that you go to Silver then Gold and Platinum. That's your training wheels right there, it is called game difficulty.

Game is losing players

there are approx 1000 things to unlock

This char does help bridge the gap and keep interest up for a new player lucky enough to unlock her.

People fail to realize that the game difficulty, weapons, and powers get balanced against these God Mode characters. Which means that 500/500 characters with no shield boost/auto-revive/etc. really struggle these days. They're relatively much weaker than they were originally. Essentially, these new crutch characters make the existing characters worse off.

The problem is the balancing against the lesser classes rather than in favor.  I hate the troll store so balancing in favor against the lesser classes is fine by me.  It means more credits faster which means more unlocks faster.

So I just got online on my Xbox and wanted to level up my level 10 AIU, HardcoreSalmon was online so we did a relaxing Gold duo. We wanted to do it without using the OP Repair Matrix so Salmon used a build without it and I had two ranks in it so I used it during pizza delivery to move faster but not more than that.

Salmon had full Fitness on his character while I went with no Fitness, he used Shield Power Cells III while I used Cyclonic I.

End result without using Repair Matrix was an easy and relaxing Gold duo with 10 waves survived. So anyone that really believes that this class need to have the auto-revive in order to make it "unique" should go hide in a closet somewhere because that argument is just plain stupid. There is no need for the auto-revive except for making bad players soloing Platinum without breaking a sweat.

I am not a fan of calling out people who support the repair matrix as bad players who can't do anything else otherwise. I'm fairly certain most people on these forums are adequate enough players, and the people that defend the AIU are just sick of seeing classes get needed, like me

Yeh, but its ok to use Matrix to speed up object retreival, just don't use it for revival. lol

Absolutely, because the consequence of everything you do should be to either stay alive or to die. With the auto-revive you don't have to worry about dying because you are immortal.
