It's Billy! The human who gets out of Purgatory (ME2 Jack recruitment mission) then sends you an email in which he says he needs to kill you because you took a shot at him. We never hear from him again. Until now.

Not sure if serious. (Too lazy to fish up the pic, even)

actually, that would be a really interesting thing...I think the dead companion of Virmine had really too little relevance on the game, expecially with all the emotions (sometimes even a little too much forced on our Shepard...dead child, Thessia, ecc...) and not even a screenshot in two games, when it should raprensent one of the bigger sacrifice (or at least the first) in Shepard's war against the Reaper.
just a phrase or two...
Really, I would like the return of a "bad" version of Ashely/Kaidan. Lazarus happened already one time, after all...^_^

I bet it's Corporal Toombs. He does send Shepard an angry email in ME2 for working with Cerberus. Also, if you renegade persuade him in ME1, his ME2 email says something about he has his own mercs and is coming after Shepard, or something like that. If its not him, I'd be kind of surprised that Bioware didn't do anything with that.

Being skeptical of bioware is fine and all, but being this skeptical is just plain ridiculous.

More than likley we won't be able to call who it is until the dlc hits, and the discussion when it's revealed will consist of people who hate it, people who like it, and people who complain about it ad nauseum, and people who complain about the complainers ad nauseum.

It's very likely he's dead though. You need a fair bit of points into charm/intimidate to prevent him from killing the cerberus scientist then killing himself.

The OP made me chuckle. A confrontation between Kaidan and Ash would be interesting. Especially when in many cases when they discover the real reason they were left behind was because Shepard wanted to bang the other.

Dead serious actually, I don't know if I am loosing faith in BioWare, or if I believe they are trying too hard to come up with new content.

its Keeper 20!

Yes, I vote for Keeper 20.  If you did Chorbin's mission and scanned the keepers, it drives them crazy, so they want to kill.  And the catalyst kid is really the keepers' boss and not the reapers'.  The reapers are trying to save everyone from the keepers.

The kid is Keeper 20.

Found the quote from CP "I can't explain yet for fear of spoiling the story, but there is a very  good, story reason why someone is trying to kill Shepard during the Reaper invasion. You'll have to play to find out why."

Thanks. Mmm maybe I will even watch it on Youtube. I'll think about it.

So, if the one left to die on Vermire is the foe in the DLC and I am playing pure renigade, would that mean I could end up killing, in some fashion, my two original squadmates on the Citadel? One in the DLC and the other in the confrontation with Udina? Man, that would kinda cause a black hole initiated vortex at the core (a.k.a. suck).

I can confirm that the squadmember who was left to die on virmire  is not the mastermind behind the "conspiracy". You'll have to wait till tuesday to find out who is, and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised.

oh so now you work for bioware? lol

Harbinger or bust.

Because completely cutting your central villain from the storyline is beyond f'ing retarded.

It will be whoever was going to be the next human spectre before shepard stole his spotlight. After being passed up twice, they snap and orginizes a small elite team to hunt down shepard and the council for revenge.

that would be Anderson... so I doubt it, that is even more crazy than the one who died on Virmire.
