There is only one solution for this maze: It's the one and only Marauder Shields. Think about it: He is trying to kill you for a good reason.

But seriously: There are many possibilities. I thought about the Virmire comrade, too. We don't even know how many time it takes between lifting of with the Normandy and the explosion. But there is also no plausible reason why someone could have survive such a blast in a very short timeframe.

Well, as for me I hope Harbinger will be more focussed in the next DLC but this would interfere with the end as he appears blasting up alliance soldiers, so no boss battle where he's being destroyed. The only information is that we have to take over an enemy fortress. And who could own a fortress-like structure on the Citadel?

My prediction: Scientists create a remake of the Virmire Deceased, to bring that decision back. At the end of the DLC, you can either help them (Joining your squad) or kill them off again. If you save them, more character development and maybe even a romance?

I would say "don't go giving them ideas", but it's too late for that now, isn't it? All I can say is that I certainly hope the OP's prediction is wrong.

Even worse, it could be Nihlus, which would certainly upset both Marauder Shields fans and fans of good storytelling (after all, what possible reason would Nihlus have to want Shepard dead?).

You are probably right. I do believe that the Citadel DLC will be just more of the same dull crap we already got and the vailan will be the single most dissapointing thing that BW ever pulled out of their A****.

It is just going further down the hill with ME in general... sad!

But let's fact check here for a moment:

  • - It has to be a character that every player knows which means
  • NO sidequest character

  • NO DLC

  • NO loyalty mission characters

  • NO character that is tied to Shepards origin (also this might be cool)
  • NO character who's live depends on a choice you made
  • NO character we killed first hand (only cutscence)
  • Can't be Udina or any other character we already dealt with him in ME3
  • It has to be big since it is the very last DLC for ME3 and Shepard.
So let's see who is left (alive or a way to somehow bring the character back from the grave):
  • Kaidan/Ashley ME1 (obvious but WORSE IDEA then any others)
  • Executor Palin ME1 (alive and turned corrupt according to Baily)

  • Metriach Benezia ME1 (could be ressurected somehow but DUMB...)

  • Richard L. Jenkins ME1 (could be ressurected AWESOME...)

  • Barla Von ME1/ME3  (Somehow unlikely....)

  • Pitne For ME2 (Dumb)

  • Arvina ME1/ME2/ME3 (WTF ?!?!)

  • Warlord Okeer ME2 (could be ressurected but DUMB)

  • Nassana Dantius ME1/ME2 (could be ressurected but EXTREMELY STUPID)

  • Mess Seargant Gardner ME2 (this would be awkward...):bandit:

  • Sha'ira ME1 (well....why?)

  • Nilus ME1 (why god WHY?)

  • Elias Keeler ME1

  • Any minor Merc leader ME1/ME2 (STUPID beause noone cares about the red shirts)

  • Charles Saracino ME1

  • Tarak ME2 or one of his henchman... (ressurectable but DUMB)

  • Jaroth ME2 or one of his henchman...(ressurectable but DUMB)
  • Garm ME2 or one of his henchman...(ressurectable but DUMB)
That's it....

My money is on "The Kardashians" (ASHLEY/KAIDAN) since it would fit in the whole (you can hang out with the people you love BS...)

...but my hopes are on "Richard L. Jenkins" or "Executor Palin"

We could add Corporal Toombs as a possibility as well. EvI know his survival depends on your choice, but it wouldn't be the first time that someone survived in a Bioware game that we thought was dead.

Maybe itll be like Leviathan in that the majority takes place on the Citadel. It likely would start at the Citadel archives where you will research and investigate things that will take you to a few locations across the galaxy and that stronghold is probably located there somewhere. After, the rest of the part on the Citadel will open I would imagine.

I hear this all the time. But why? Why focus on such a minor character. But maybe? Who knows?

Didn't he email you saying he was going to dedicate his next victim to you? It would be cool to face him but he wouldn't work good as someone in control of a huge conspiracy.

I think it is somehow sovereign. Like, a remnant from him, since some of his parts are around the citadel.

Honestly though guys, it is probably gonna be a new wackjob that just wants to kill us. Don't get your hopes up on it being a good story twist...it it most likely going to be a new wackjob...nothing more.

My money's on Kei Leng. He's still alive at that point (it takes place after the Citadel Coup but before the assualt on the Citadel Station) and he has bad blood with Shepard.

Anyone else has too many variables attached.

There are only two people I can think of that have enough gripe with Shepard to stage something like this during a time of war: Balak from Bring Down the Sky (if he is alive) and The Illusive Man. The only problem is, Balak not only can be dead from the first game, but he also has his own sidequest in which he will hand over the rest of the Batarian fleet to Shepard to help stop the Reapers. So really all we have is TIM, unless I am missing someone ...

I already told you guys....

My money is on

ME2 -- Thane's Loyalty Mission.

Elias Kelham --

1) As you can see, Kelham has Bailey, now C-sec Commander, in his pocket, and he's put a hit out on a Turian politician who was campaigning on an anti-human platform.

Now the statistics in the player surveys show that about 85% of players are paragon pansies, and as such would not have interrogated Kelham in such a rough manner, but you did, didn't you? I did. And I'd bet about and even higher number like around 100% stopped the assassination of Joram Talid, and about 99% took the paragon interrupt inside the apartment. Me? I shot Talid. He was a bad man. In most play throughs, Talid went on to win election, or his ballot replacement was even more anti-human and won.

2) The latter part could indicate he has ties to the Terra Firma party, or possibly was Udina's Citadel contact with Cerberus. See Udina wouldn't want a direct contact with Cerberus.

3) Harkin would also be involved to handle the lower level stuff with C-sec for Kelham.

But Kelham's the one with direct ties to The Illusive Man. Kelham will buy tickets from Bailey. Bailey will have coffee with Udina.

These are the people behind the operation. Now who is actually going to do this? Several spectre level assassins.

Conspiracy Theory eh?

heres one.

The Citadel Council & C-Sec Security are working for the reapers.

Finding this out Shep goes undercover and discovers a chamber in the citadel that is off-limits. In that chamber is a human reaper under construction. Harbinger takes control of this reaper and it's a fight between Harbie & Shep + all his previous squadmates to the death on the citadel.
