the life and shield really suck at platinum for cabal, get you moving almost all the time and taking cover to recover them with no time to really shoot; and the powers abilities are short ranged oriented, and in platinum with praetorians and banshees chasing you and phanthoms everywhere is not a smart idea to get close to use those poison abilities.At least the rest of the vanguards can recharge shields with the biotic charge, so this kit is not as rewarded for being in close combat like the rest of vanguards.

Also, for another guy who was complaining about the fact the bad angle mines cannot be detonated, while this is not the perfect solution, if you know the order of your mines, you can cast the fourth one and make the first one explode. Use this to your advantage. You can hit lots of enemies thanks to the radius, even if enemies would never activate it by themselves.

p.s. cabal does not suck. it has shield pill that is great, cuz of shield gate mechanic.

Cain Mines for the damage and stagger, armor piercing for armor debuffs and fire to applied to targets and concusion for crowd control if things get a bit hectic. I still feel the concusive tree is more for fun than anything as I think distruptor arrows would of been a better choice since he would be able to take down shield&barriers with the right options selected and armor with counterpart.
For me it seems that there is always one dummy power on most characters you can get away with not applying points into which is a shame because it would be fun to have all powers relevant so you can go with 2+ of the same character but they arent since they are all spec'd different.

You get accustomed to WHEN they will activate. Just takes a bit of practice.

As far as the higher difficulty debate goes, I think we finally got some viable classes for platinum, and it would be a shame to nerf them. Even the cabal can hang on plat if you spec out of PS completely. The talon has problems though.
