but bioware is apparently very persuasive.  I'm starting to believe that they put in ridiculous stuff just to create drama on the forums.  Well, congratulations Bioware!  You've finally convinced me to add fuel to the fire.

I like to think of myself as a very solid player but far from 'elite'.  I've never completed a sucessful solo platinum (I always go down wave 10 while attempting objective).  Solo gold is easy enough assuming I don't get sync-killed.  I regularly do platinum speed runs on glacier (average of about 16 minutes) with friends.  I also love Rio when looking for PUGs.  No, I don't use the box.  I choose to run around the map while the other 3 typically cower in fear.  (It's hilarious listening to them at times... "GET IN THE BOX!!!!!" lol)

Now that you know a little about me, time to hear my complaints.  I really only have one- the geth juggernaut.

I was given the geth juggernaut as the 'freebie' char and decided to try him out.  It took less than a match for me to realize this guy is overpowered.  I confirmed it by doing a solo gold glacier-reaper without any equipment bonuses AND without using any consumables during the match.  Granted, it took over 45 minutes but still...  I stood in the center of the map and stayed put.  When the enemy came near, I'd shoot, melee, shoot, melee, etc.  If I got swarmed, I'd use my siege to get them off of me.  I literally did not move more than 3 meters unless it was an objective wave.

I did a platinum run with him... this time with gear.  AP rounds 4, Strength 3, Cyclonic 4, and juggernaut shield 5.  At one point in time, I had 2 banshees, 2 phantoms, 2 brutes,  a ravager, and a hunter surrounding me.  Granted, the phantoms were doing a number on me... I dropped a turret for extra shields then focused my melee on the phantoms.  After 9 long minutes, everything was dead and I was still alive- without using a consumable.  I would've needed to use a couple ammo packs but thankfully I was standing right next to an ammo box.

Simply put, no character should ever be capable of taking that type of damage and still kill everything without going down.  He NEEDS to be nerfed.  I'm not even asking for much... A simple reduction of health from the ungodly 2k+ (with hardened platform) to something more realistic like 300.  Afterall, it's synthetic, not organic.  (Why does it even have health in the first place?)

Rant / Story time over.

*EDIT*

For those of you saying he's all about tanking and has no damage, you're doing it wrong.  If I'm running the Juggy, I'm consistently breaking the 100k mark (Platinum runs) while playing with 3 other players.  I've yet to finish on top of the scoreboard, but 2nd and 3rd is pretty standard.  This statement holds true even when the other three (very competent) players are running as EDI units.  Juggy may not do as much damage but he doesn't have to run around, dodge, etc.  He stands still and shoots everything not concerning himself with shields.  This alone makes up for his lack of damage.

Even on Rio, 4 plot objective is not a concern.  The longest map and it takes less than a minute to go from side to side.  One juggernaut can complete all 4 objectives, even if each one is on the opposite side of the map.

On a side note, I just had my wife play a game of platinum with the juggy.  She's never played the game before and is FAR from a gamer.  She plays peggle now and then but that's it.  I told her "Push this button, then this button."  Granted she died twice and used up a good portion of consumables, mostly by accident.  But the fact is, she extracted on platinum with PUGs.  Sadly, she was only one of two that extracted.  Worse, she finished with second highest points.  Her statement at the end of the game was the icing on the cake... "That was easy".

He may be boring to play and hardcore folks will probably stay away from him.  That doesn't take away from the fact he's WAAAY overpowered.

Juggie is fine. He can't output damage, he's the archetypal tank.
Fembot however, now there's a problem.

The Juggernaut has 1000 health and 2000 shields.

Also if you go to health you're doing something pretty wrong.

Juggernaut actually is an artillery platform. More like a tank. Get him a long range-weapon, preferrably a Javelin, add some siege pulses and you are credit to team.

In terms of damage, he isn't that good. He ist just very very tanky. And by very very I actually mean very very very very tanky.

I don't mind the juggernaut. His slowness automatically makes him somewhat balanced combined with the fact that he doesn't have a good way to output impressive damage. So far in my experience, players on both silver and gold have gone down repeatedly using him and while that is purely anecdotal, it still indicates to me that he is in an ok spot at the moment.

If he was immortal and put out amazing damage, sure lets take a look at taking him a notch down, but right now there is at least one kit that outperforms him vastly in regards to damage output, survivability (or rather does not care about survivability) and overall utility.

Even if he were effectively immortal, I still wouldn't mind much, just due to his limited damage. I would be very hesitant in nerfing his survivability, because that is pretty much all that the kit is about and in my opinion it could take very little to make him basically unplayable solely due to the fact that he has no mobility and cannot get out of a bad situation at all.

With jug specced for shield/health and a cyclonic iv, shields are around 10000.

4600 base, +400 from Stronghold Package, +3000 from Cyclonic IV for 8000 shields.

You can't reach 10,000 shields.

I've never played him on anything less than gold.  I can actually see how he might die on a silver run if his teammates kill everything before he has a chance to heavy melee them.  In fact, I'm gonna run a few silvers just to watch a geth juggy fail...

As far as EDIbot is concerned, I see no difference in her survivability compared to a turian infiltrator.  At least EDIbot goes down and has to get back up, allowing a bigger chance of being sync killed.  Besides, TI can do just as much, if not more damage than EDIbot.  Both classes take at least 2% skill and can still die.  The juggernaut on the other hand cannot die, period.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't care if the AIU gets nerfed.  Heck, I wouldn't care if any of the new chars got nerfed.  I'm just sayin' that the Geth Juggy NEEDS to be nerfed.

When I first started playing, I sucked.  I worked my tail end off to get better at the game and be where I'm at now.  If other people want to be able to run gold / platinum waves, they need to do the same thing I did... put the effort in to get better.  Someone who has issues extracting on bronze should not be able to extract on platinum just because they got a new character.

Yup you can't die, but your competent teammates will kill most things before you even arrive to the spawn party. I find that playing the juggernaut the only things you are killing are things going after you and in your line of sight. The power of sync killing phantoms and banshees was cool. But I found I like having them as teammates more than playing the kit. I like playing faster kits. and luring bosses to the juggernaut.

I was spawn nuking using a cabal, and partnered with fury early gold wave spawns basically denying two juggernauts any ability to shoot enemies for a couple of early waves. Anytime a banshee locked into to us we ran to the nearest juggernaut, Score was really lopped sided with the fury, and cabal taking 1st and 2nd by a large margin.

So they basically are bullet sponges, that lets the other kits do the real work.

That's effective defense. I mean, if you want to go that route, my Batarian Brawler has infinity shields because he hits the 140% damage reduction break point after a charge + heavy melee combo.

He can't run. He needs high defenses. I'd say he's fine where he's at. BW has the metadata on this, and I'm pretty sure not everyone is soloing Platinum with this guy.

The Juggernaut is...

-SLOW. Cannot run. Easily swarmed.
-Cannot leap over cover. So you have to take the long way. Have fun reaching that objective on the other side of the map. Wake me when you get there.
-Cannot take hard cover. So hope that soft cover protects your huge ass.
-You're a huge target. If something locks onto you, you're getting nailed.

So yeah, he needs some high shields to sponge all those hits he'll be taking. No nerf needed.

And all those Geth Primes have high shielding and armour. Of course the Juggernaut doesn't have the same, but he has the Geth Prime in mind. When a Geth Prime gets swarmed by you and 3 PUGs, he stands NO chance. Powerful, but too slow and unable to really defend himself.

Doesn't the 150% from cyclonic act on 4600? Or is it applied to base shields without evo upgrades?
How can you tell in game?
