Man, I'm on my second playthrough with one of my characters (played veteren difficulty and then hardcore) and I still didn't get to lvl 60. And I did everything (didn't necessarly kill all enemies on roads or mine all ores). Was lvl 51 after Veteran difficulty, and level 59 after Hardcore difficulty. Has anyone got to lvl 60 in just two playthroughs with one character?
Here is the answer to your question http://social.biowar...04/index/654265

Yeah, according to the MEwiki: http://masseffect.wi...xperience_Guide you need to hit level 56.5 since level 60 is 862,100xp. On your first playthrough you'll need roughly half of that 431,000xp depending on how "complete" your game is. I've done about 85% of the side missions and I have Virmire left and I'm already at level 53. To answer my original post though: No it doesn't look like higher difficulty=higher xp. Shame, but at least the difficulty is a fun change; except for Ahern's survival mission that is... I'm having a bit of trouble with that one.
The link I posted provides evidence otherwise, that it is possible to reach 60 in your first 2 play throughs. The experience your receive goes up sharply with your level as do credits.
There are also a couple of places I seem to remember a couple of extra enemies on higher difficulty, like a couple of drones thrown into to the fight around the train on Eden Prime. Nothing very dramatic though.

I didn't completely understand what that guy was saying in that thread. The Grey Ranger wrote...

So you can do it in the very first 2 games? I imagine that requires all the DLC for both runs, right?
Without DLC I think I managed to hit 58 with "mild" cheating (Quin glitch to get both Beseiged Base and Negotiation) in a single game. Usually more like 57 when I do competionist games.
Of course when I first played the game I didn't know what I was doing and only hit 40-something my very first run.

He said he finished both dlcs, all the side quest and killed 99%+ of everything on foot. He also said he had both the power gamer and completionist. achievements at the start of the second playthrough.
