You said you are ok with "Pro-enders"/people who like the endings but aren't 100% ok with the execution of it. You're very own words.

I like the ending and have just a couple of nitpicks with it's execution. Therefore you should approve of my point of view, by your own definition.

You don't, you toss me in with the "Anti-ender" crowd because of my very apt restaurant analogy.

You say one can be ok with the ending, but not think its 100% perfect. Yet when someone (like me) expresses EXACTLY that sentiment you treat them like an unreasonable "anti-ender".

Why?

If you would give me a reason to call you unreasonable anti-ender, then I would call you unreasonable anti-ender. It's as simple as that. I don't remember everyone on BSN, and each previous conversation...

...Anyhow, that should be discussed via PMs. Let's stay on topic here.

Why do you name call?

Fine, on topic, I'll reiterate my very first post in this thread.

I agree, because ME is filled with the opportunity to handle situations that happen to real people every day in ways we normally might not be able to. It opens us up to think more freely about tough choices, that only get tougher as the series goes on.

I like the ending, and have only a couple small issues with it. None of those issues have to do with it not being "happy".

I can't buy that in a game that was essentially "choose your own adventure."  We should have had more variety in the outcomes.

If it had been like Soparnos were you develop attachments to the characters but at the same time take note of the business they're in and the type of people they are then that's different.  It's easier to see it coming when you've seen key characters in every season get whacked, sometimes almost out of no where.  For example heres Chris Moltasanti's first scene.  That pretty much sets the tone for the character throughout the rest of the series.

Through the first two games Mass Effect painted itself as a hero saves the day and gets the girl type story or at least gave you the option to make it that type of story.  Then all of a sudden they try to pull a 180 and made it about sacrifice trying to justify it as "OMG war is bad and people die." I'm sorry but that doesn't work, especially for people who did Paragon playthroughs.  For renegades it actually makes sense especially if you were able to develop a character that walked the line of public hero thats a terrible person.

The biggest problem all along was we only really have bittersweet options.  Shepard never gets his hero saves the day ending nor do we get an option where the reapers win.

Again, Im not an anti-ender and never have been. Just pointing to your bigotry by calling people "anti" and "haters" when your PERSONAL opinion was "anti" and it took someone else (which made it a GROUP or COLLECTIVE opinion)to convince you other wise.

I take the endings at face value.

My initial reaction on the endings was incorrect. The process of becoming pro-ender involved me saying to myself the same things I'm saying to anti-enders now. That wasn't easy, but I managed to critique myself without hating myself or abandoning the final goal. If I could do that to myself, then the same treatment can help other people... Or at least force them to abandon whining.

If we're gonna get all mystical about a story "testing us", let us by all means get mystical about each other. "Like pebbles, the monks smooth each other down through contact." Your disapproval of "disturbance" is clearly an unwise rejection of further teaching.

First and foremost I recognize that you have an opinion you feel is correct, but stating it as a fact while shooting down others opinions is ridiculous. This has always been my main gripe with you and others on bsn like you (This goes for people on both sides of the spectrum).

Just because you formulated your opinion with the help of others doesn't automaticly make it a fact.

Lets look at your test jump theory. It was proven wrong by the EC. If you take everything at face value (which bioware seems to want you to do) then your everything is mental between shepard and catalyst would seem to be wrong also. If this is all true then how can you say ME3 is so well written when you dont truely understand it yourself?

Again, not trying to say your wrong only that maybe you should think alittle more before you put others down about what you believe to be the perfect story(Happy or Sad styled) ending.

Don't waste your energy, mate. Trying to have a debate with Seival is like talking to a horse's vagina.

I wonder how an internal argument with a pro-ender mindset and anti-ender rmindset would go?

"The ending was terrible, look at all these plot holes, your wrong. You're blind and have no idea what you're talking about."

"No, your a obnoxious anti-ender who has nothing to add and is only a disturbance. Go away."

Charming.

I imagine it being something like that Dr. Seuss story about the Zax, with both sides being too bloody stubborn to shift in their stance, while all the sensible people just avoid them completely, perhaps making the odd snarky remark from the sidelines before moving swiftly on.

Everyone stop for a second, M25105 mentioned the Catalyst being "Casper the Genocidal Ghost". I've found my favorite new nickname for him.

It's a great one, that's for sure. I still find it easier just to call him "Smeghead" though.;)
