Also, congratulations on "juvenile power fantasy". Ridiculous hyperbole is going to strengthen your case.

Yes, nothing juvenile about having Alliance reps groveling like retards to stroke the player's ego.

But despite the flaws in each game, I love them all the same. They're not perfect, but they have charm, and I've a lot of good memories associated with them. The endings, blah blah, whatever, you know the drill.

Otherwise? It's my favorite series of games. Flaws and all. Somehow more than the sum of its parts.

All in all, I think Mass Effect 2 was and still is the most over-rated game in the Mass Effect trilogy.

Funny really, how every thing wrong with ME2 can be applied to ME3. But ME2 is the overrated one (despite ME3's much overdone marketing campaign and incredibly underwhelming final product). I won't even mention the obvious lies and blatant false marketing.

Okay, to put it more accurately:

Mass Effect 2 is way overrated by the fans.

Mass Effect 3 is way overrated by the devs.

Also, congratulations on "juvenile power fantasy". Ridiculous hyperbole is going to strengthen your case.

Except everything I said in that particular comment aboug Mass Effect being a juvenile power trip fantasy is accurate and true. There is nothing hyperbole about it.

You're right, actually. There's no hyperbole because it isn't stretching the truth at all. It's just complete garbage, back to front.

By all means, feel free to adress the points I made in my post earlier and point how and why they're wrong.

Not gonna do that? That's what I thought. You talk the talk but you're too afraid to walk the walk. I guess that's because you and I both know that you are not capable of actually defending this garbage (ME2 and ME3) against our scrutiny. I don't blame you though.

Well, that's obvious, isn't it? That's because my arguments use things like logic, intelligence, and reasoning while your 'arguments' rely more on how many seemingly random insults and buzzwords you can pack into a post in a childish and transparent attempt to feign competence.

Completely incompatible.

Your arguments?  Your posts don't even have  arguments. All you do is insultng other people, without actually putting forth any real arguments or counter-arguments whatsoever.

I gave you the oppertunity to actually engage in a mature debate. You wasted that oppertunity in order to sling more personal insults at me. Because that is the only thing you ever do. Slinging insults to other people.

Like I said, I already suspected that you would refuse to adress my points, because you're clearly incapable of ACTUALLY defending this garbage of a game. And clearly I was right.

I'm curious. Does it make you feel powerful to be here? Does it make you feel powerful to edit that "HAHAHA" into a little smiley face? Do you feel powerful for putting that little note in your signature declaring that you like the Witcher?

I think that for being the first trilogy wich let you save yours choices from game to game and change the story in a whole. They did a pretty good job.

Nah, why would I feel "powerful" about any of that? I have better reasons to feel powerful.

How about you though? Does being unable to defend your favorite game make you feel weak? Is that why you're trying to hide behind a smug attitude, a bunch of personal insults and your pathetic little straw-men?

I wonder, if he is even capable of debating? Direct insults, indirect insult, condescending and arrogant attitude - and no points are being made.
So credible, it hurts. :D

I think the potential was there to be a truly memorable franchise, Shepard could have been seen along with Mario, Snake, Kratos, Master chief etc.....But the signs were there in ME2 that things just didnt feel the same and then the travesty that is ME3 just completely split a fanbase so all in all i agree it could be considered overrated as the direction of Mass Effect in the future is quite interesting, Do they try spin offs like halo, resi, metal gear etc, Are they confident enough to give us a new trilogy or new hero after the backlash with the old hero's treatment, Will EA continue to have them make games whilst being handcuffed......

After DA2/TOR/ME3 i guess you really could say bioware nowadays are overrated....

I feel ME2 is overrated, to be honest. The combat is hammy and slow, and not the controlled and deliberate pacing of other RPG's; it's annoying. I constantly want to go faster, but I can't, and it really lacked a whole lot of depth with the reduced power tables and weapon and armour selection.

Not much to say about the main plot, it's pretty widely thought off as forgettable, and I just think it was bad. Nothing connects well, the pacing feels off sometimes, and large parts of it are confusing and a little pointless, serving far more as the structure for smaller, more compelling stories, instead of the fairly consistently engaging one that the previous game was. I'd rather not get into how stupid I thought the beginning and the basic premise were.

I always felt lots of the mediocre and frankly terrible parts were glossed over because characterization and environments were superb.

It does, doesn't it?

I'm probably wasting my time expecting you to follow this childishly simple logic, but here goes. No, I don't feel weak at all for seeing the criticism here on the BSN. How do you know that? Because I spend my time here willingly and freely. Do you think I would do that if it was a problem for me?

You on the other hand...different story. No, I don't think you have 'better things' to feel powerful about at all. It's a shame that you can get away with such behavior here on the BSN and elsewhere on the internet. And plenty of places in real life too, I suppose. Your 'arguments' are clumsy and ridiculous. You know that, don't you?

I sympathize. There are millions, hell, perhaps even billions of people much like yourself. It's tempting, isn't it, when you have nothing else? But it's an illusion. It doesn't make you powerful to proclaim how much you like the Witcher in a deliberate effort to provoke people. It doesn't make you powerful to shill your nonsense.

I think it should be obvious that saying "I like Skyrim" is much different than, say, spending time on a Fable forum and saying "Fable sucks, and Skyrim is awesome."

It's much worse when your reasons are clumsy and stupid. As in this case.

That's assuming anyone on Earth bar Peter Molyneux has a problem with people saying Fable sucks.
