Hi.  i am returnign to NWN2 after a long time away.  I have Reeron's mod thatallows sneak attacks for some spells, and I am excited to try a drow build that is rogue, wizard, and arcane trickster.  I dont mind the ECL +2 in terms of slower progression, but I would like to hit level 20 by end of game... is there enough experience to be had to reach level 20 with an ECL +2?   Alternately I may go tiefling.  With an ECL +1 will I be able to reach 20?  Thanks!

I think you'll be lucky to get beyond level 18 with a drow character in the OC (or level 19 for a tiefling). You can't go farming for experience like you can on the overland map in Storm of Zehir.

thanks for the reply. that is a shame but understandable. I know I can cheat me up an extra level. If I do that late in the game I won't feel as guilty.

You should make level 20 as a tiefling. Neeshka routinely does (during the final confrontation - though it would occur earlier if she were not indisposed).

You can reach level 20 with an ECL +2 race in the OC. There's more then enough XP.

keep your companions at 2 instead of 3 - or is that 3 instead of 4 - anyway just keep the party below the max capacity and the average exp will be higher.

In NW city you can just get them then have the extras hang out in the Flagon...
