Hello everyone. I have read these forums for a long time but never made a post. But i have a problem that i think you guys could help fix. So I bought the trilogy to play ME1 and ME2 again then transfer that character over to ME3. THe problem I am having is I think I want to play a certain character, I start it, put hours into it, then I decide I want to play a different character. I want to pick a chacter I can be happy with. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with all of them but I will start an Infiltrator and then want to use biotics and I'll switch to an Adept. Then I will want to be the "canon" Shepard (Soldier, male, default) but then I feel like I am missing out on creating my own character and all the other cool classes. Can anyone help me??

It can certainly be tough, especially since you want to try everything out. Nothing wrong with having multiple playthroughs going at one time, although it can be tough to remember sometimes how you were playing the character. So you can always create multiple Shepards and then rotate when you feel like playing a different class.

ME1 is probably the hardest game to do simultaneous playthroughs because it's more slow placed. Don't get me wrong, ME1 is a great game but I don't know if I can keep doing the same Mako missions over and over again. Those Thresher Maw fights are a pain.

My advice...

If your purpose is to experience the story(completionist): stick to one playthrough. I always find out something new each time I do a full playthrough. For example, I just recently found out that you could recruit Dr Michel instead of Dr Chakwas in ME3!

If you find yourself skipping cutscenes and emphasizing gameplay: simultaneous playthroughs are fine.

Two options:
1) Have Chakwas die on the Suicide Mission. In ME3, talk to Dr. Michel and Charm/Intimidate her into joining you on the Normandy.
2) If Chakwas is alive, convince her to join Admiral Hackett on the Crucible Project. Then Charm/Intimidate Dr. Michel to joining the Normandy.

Cool, thanks.  I always just had Chakwas join me.  Didn't know that sending her to the Crucible Project opened other options.

I wish I'd done 2) in ME3. I liked Dr Chakwas - her voice actor is great - but I don't think they did much with her character in ME3.
