I won't complain if they buff it, especially the recoil and accuracy.

But, on paper (if I have done this right), the DPS for the BPP should be 824 (if you include the 5x damage shot in calculations) vs the Tempest's 643.5.

When you factor in the RoF bonuses on some classes, the BPP increases further due to having a RoF of 800, vs the Tempest's 650.

Again, I will give you accuracy and recoil, which will mean that the Tempest may out damage the BPP on many classes because it actually hits the enemy.

I don't know how it is in SP, but the MP is pure trash. It's worse than the Eagle ever was. I find it hard to believe Bioware tested this thing after the nerfs.

Well now that's seriously disappointing. The BPP was one of my favorite weapons in the SP and to see it and the Venom castrated makes me a very sad panda indeed.

Indeed. I know what I saw. The Tempest, an uncommon is better. The BPP is a snarling joke. No reason to use it.

All of the SP guns except the executioner are extremely underpowered.  I was thinking that maybe they didn't want to have another krysae fiasco so they decided to err on the side of caution.  It is better to buff than nerf.

The Executioner is great but even it took a nerf, about 10% less damage.

I'm a really big Tempest fan, but I have to see the numbers against armor before I believe this premise I use the BPP X specifically to finish off armored targets and it's... it sucks. I should keep quiet and hope it gets a buff.

What? The BPP has not cover penetration. The AP shot simply adds x5 damage but it does not help. The gun is terrible.

So, BW preemptively nerfed these weapons, in this case the BPP, figuring they'd just buff them as needed into balance later.

Of course, what this really means is that they'll gently nudge them nearer to usability, whereas the nerf was done with the force of a thousand KroLord hammer blows. Gotcha. Typical "balancing" from above, then.

Moving on...I'm kind of glad I don't have it yet.

Poor Ash/Liara being grabbed by the Banshee. Last time I played SP, 2 Banshees were in love with Kaidan, chasing him all over the place and he tanked/ran away from them. On insanity. dat reave&barrier

err, anyway...

What a difference. They killed the weapon.
