Putting up with the Talon (for now)

I don't know the power setup for him exactly, but I'm feeling the best way to build this character is likely skipping Anti-Armor Arrows, going for Health & Shields in Fitness, and split weapon/power damage in the passive. I can see this class doing most of its damage through a weapon like the Harrier and through Cain Trip Mines, and using Concussive Arrows as a stagger tool.
Then again, I'm not at complete authority to talk about the character, considering I don't even have him. What do you all think about making the best of the Talon?

I feel that once the melee is buffed to acceptable levels, it will be a very fun kit.

wouldn't you want anti-armor arrows to de-buff, rather than Concussive?

The AP arrows don't act as a debuff, they act to reduce the armor damage mitigation by 50%.

Now if only he wasn't buggy as all hell. I'm getting very tired of remapping my keys every damn round.

...which would translate into 25 more damage on the Cain.
Or on your gunshots, but who cares about that. There's a reason the mine is named after the best heavy weapon from ME2.

Armor mitigation only applies to hitscan weapons, not powers. So it doesn't give any extra damage to the Cain.

Even more pointless then. Not that 50 damage meant anything to the Cain.

I don't think very many people are of the opinion that the Talon is an exceptional character. But, rather than just throw around negativity towards the character (which is for the most part rightly deserved), lets come up with a build that works for him, at least temporarily.

See, the thing is, that isn't really a way to make the Talon playable, so much as the way to make ANY class playable. If you put a Harrier on it and spec for weapon damage and headshot bonuses, you're gonna rock mooks' worlds regardless of the class itself. You're basically saying 'This character has no particularly useful skills so I'll skip it all and put it into defenses and weapon bonuses to make a gunboat.'
It's the last resort of a class to build some level of playability. Kind of like asking 'How do I make Weapon X useable?' 'Put it on a GI'.

6 Cain Trip Mines
Radius - armor damage - damage
0 cuncussive arrows
A-P arrows can help with armor bosses
6 armor-piercing arrows
Damage - armor damage -grenade capacity
6 elite mercenary
Power damage - power damage - weapon damage
6 omni-bow mastery/fitness
All health and shield boost. This guy is too squishy to bother specing melee.
This is also the one kit that you don't have to worry about weapon weight at all.
Buy I run him with the
M-7 Lancer II & Executioner Pistol X.

6 Concussive arrows to stager
6 Merc for weapon damage or power if you focus soley on mine
6 fitness for shields. Don't bother using omnibow sept to stagger cause its damage does not exist.
