I can't go on Live that often, so if I redeem my code on this site, will it be on my game the next time I sign in to Live?

If you get all the necessary licenses for the promotional items you're downloading, you can use the DLC while offline. The following thread discusses this issue:

I redeemed everything through the game, and you need to be connected anyway to download, so I would do it that way. Not sure how redeeming here works.

No.  At the main menu for dragon age you will see a "Downloadable Content" choice, you must be connected to xbox live, gold or silver it doesn't matter.  Click on the DLC option, you will see redem EA code, that's where you need to put you codes, don't use the marketplace to do it.   If you can't connect to xbox live then you're SOL.

I redeemed my code here and because of all the syncronization trouble it will not download onto my xbox.  I wish I had just done it from the xbox instead.  It shows in my profile here... but none of my characters will update and my dlc won't download.  If I try to do it from the xbox it shows the code is invalid ... assuming because it has already been used.  LAME

This system is broken as far as im concerned.

I imagine that redeeming the code here would just add the item(s) to your entitlements, saving you the trouble of typing in the code from the DA:O main menu on your Xbox. You'd still need to connect to the DA servers to actually download the content. Because of licensing restrictions, you can't get DLC to your Xbox without connecting to XBL to get it, so far as I am aware. Simply copying the data (say, from a friend's Xbox) won't work, since that's indistinguishable from piracy under the licensing model.

I posted the link since you stated that you didn't go online often. You'll want to make sure you get all the licenses to your DLC when you are online, or you'll be in for a rude surprise later.

You are correct and incorrect.
You can call EA support or livechat and give them the codes and they will add it to your account. However  you will be unable to download the content if you're not on live, so you were partly correct silver star for you

My problem is that I'm connected to both XBOX Live and the DAO server, the DLC content for the Stone Prisoner and Blood Dragon armor is downloaded and installed (via the promo codes through the DC menu in game), it shows up in the DC list at the title screen, but the codex doesn't update in the game, and the quests aren't shown in the codex. However, I purchased Warden's Keep through XBOX Live marketplace and haven't had one problem. Why is it showing up downloaded on the title screen and not showing up in the game, and how do I fix it?
