Some who play Neverwinter Nights may have seen a small, unfinished module and its "(re-)Mastered" buddy (which is even less complete) on the NWVault: http://nwvault.ign.c....Detail&id=5995. This module was going to be a first glimpse into a new setting I'm creating for my fantasy stories.

Some time has passed, and I'm starting that project anew. My notes are more solid, and the potential of creating NWN and DA versions of my setting has arrived.

Please post comments and ideas, I'd like to know what people think especially once the demo is finished. I hope that I may complete A Dark Tale this time, so it may be shared with those who play NWN and DA.

While I write the story for the module, I'll be posting a few little tidbits of my notes on the setting to get people interested.

Cultures: Grima
The Griman people are humans who come from the frozen north. They are as harsh and demanding as their homeland. They are slow to trust, and slower to aid. Battle is part of their way of life. While many people carry weapons in defense, the Griman are known to be skilled warriors. The most skilled warriors are known as Kyrian. A Kyria is highly respected by the Griman, and often has a place of honor in the clan-holm, or clan home. The Griman are split into several clans, each member of a clan has some relation to most other members. The Griman Clanholm usually consists of a fort and several settlements. The wisest and most skilled clan members become Jarls or Jarlas. These are the leaders of a clan, the head of the Clanholm. Next are the Kyrian, the skilled warriors. They and the hilgard, or soldiers, protect the Clanholm from outside threats. The skilled craftsmen of the clan are known as the bygern, or builders. Last of the clan are the thralls, the servants of the clan. Most thralls aren’t related to the clan by blood, and were subjected to servitude after being captured from another clan.
Griman men are the most likely to be Kyria or hilgard, but women are also allowed to be warriors. The Griman woman, especially the elder and more powerful, often braid their hair into two long braids (for the nobility) or cut their hair to their shoulders and make several short braids. Despite foreign belief, there are many Griman men who don’t have full beards.
