I actually completely agree with this sentiment.

Playing with a mouse doesn't mean you're immediately awesome.

Owning a mouse doesn't all of a sudden give you twitch skills, accuracy, aiming precision or the precision to counter recoil.

Unfortunately, 99% of console peasants seem to think playing with a mouse gives you instant skillz. They are mistaken.

They should know that we also have our PUGs lol

Oh, but it's not pure console play because I use a Onza yes? Despite the fact that I can melee and use powers without taking my thumbs off the control sticks.

Any console player can do this with a standard controller. Its called "The Claw" hand position.

Except the claw now prevents you from using your bumper/triggers :P

And yes. I know all about the claw. Used to play Monster Hunter on the PSP which has the fun combination of movement and camera both being left side thumb inputs.  Talk about hand cramps.

This all stigmatization of console players as peasants is disgusting & really degrading.

I play Mass Effect 3 on X360 because of profile transfer from Mass Effect 1 back in the day & I don't want to bother buying everything from start on PC all over again.

Also, I own Core i7 water cooling rig with two GTX660 in SLI.

I'm proud to be "peasant" !!

Nothing really wrong with that.  I've a friend that plays PC shooters with us with a controller.  I swear to god the guy uses aimhacks.  It's the only reason I can come up with for jumping turn-around quickscopes.  But give him a mouse and he'll miss every damned shot.

Closest thing I have to a gaming mouse is theN7 imperiator, and the only other key I have assigned to it is for push-to-talk.

Back in the old days I used to pwn mouse and keyboard users with just using my keyboard and no mouse in Quake 2. Was fun.

You have more then 2 fingers right? Youre not a Turian or Quarian in disguise are you? Even then the third finger they have can control them.

FPS games don't require stupid mice with a million buttons. I use a Deathadder and I have no problem with using Shift/Q/E for powers.

I played with a dirty ball mouse with just two buttons for most of my PC gaming time (similar to RedJohn's pictures), and I liked it just fine. Maybe with your WOWs or LOLs you need some crutch mouse, but my giant hands will work fine on my keyboard.

:P

I never did, also... what the hell are you using that many buttons on your mouse for?

Yes, but pulling a trigger with middle/ring finger while clawing a controller is something that I will thankfully never go back to. Hand cramps man, hand cramps.

Thank you for not trying to act funny like these PC/Xbox Hitlers are trying to be, and instead of coming with something that does not drag this "joke" even further.

At least all of you are on a level playing field.

I have played with far too many PC peasants that think that just because they have a mouse, it makes them part of a master race.

This is a lie.

tl;dr: How the hell do you guys play games without a Razer naga?  I broke out my laptop and a normal mouse over at a friend's house the other day and did absolutely horridly as I couldn't do crap without taking my hands off either movement or aiming.

With skill

Sucks when the dude with a IBM mouse that is older than you manages to kick your ass

True answer? I'm not.  More than half of them are completely useless in ME, while the forward/back buttons are placed so oddly as to be useless at ALL times.  The mouse was designed for traditional MMOs and really is quite awesome at that.  The new hex nagas they have out now (the ones made for League of Legends) would be quite nice for a lot of  ames though.

I feel I must apologize for my last few threads.  I've been bored with access to the internet and little else, so my posts here recently have been an odd form of pseudo-trolling.  Usually in the "take outrageous stance then agree with your detractors" variety.

Worth it. But you do get use to it after playing all of the assassins creeds.

I actually wanted a multibutton mouse for awhile while I played swtor, but the I quit, and the need never arised. Wont need one for Elder Scrolls Online either due to the 5 power limit.

I use my gaming rig to play Witcher 1&2, Skyrim, Metro & other GPU demanding games with all possible mods of course.

Graphics on ME3 are almost identical to console ones. Difference is maybe 20%. Almost unnoticable.

It isn't worth the trouble of playing trilogy from ME1 to ME3 & going trough the faul moods of RNG GODS on ME3.

Logitech G9.......it has two buttons that i use for ME, the rest are volume control and DPI switching, Naga is overrated and useless on anything that isn't an MMO, using it for ME is pointless unless you need macros to do the job for you :P

I have a razer naga, but I removed the side buttons with a knife and slapped duct tape over the gaps left.

There are more than enough buttons + ctrl + alt + shift that you can bind that it really is irrelevant having side mouse buttons.

Also, pressing the side buttons forces you to change the elevation of your hand (unless your hands are very small or very very large) meaning you lose a lot of precision using the side naga buttons.

They are great for mmos, where mouse work really isn't required, for shooters... not to much, it's easier to memorise weapon switches via scroll wheel movement "how many notches up / down"... and as for everything else you have a lot of buttons on your keyboard for it.

What would you claw in AC? Admittedly, I haven't really played one since 2 came out, so my memories of it are a bit foggy.

And I've never personally had to change my hand position for the thumb grid.  Then again, maybe I fall into that small hands category as I have to stretch my hand uncomfortably to use the forward/back buttons.  About 8 inches thumb to pinky spread.  That small?  I'm honestly not sure.

It doesn't give you insta kills but it gives a lot more control of the aim, and less chances of auto aiming to the wrong target, etc. Plus customizing keys, etc.
.
But thats ok. For me and my son xbox is better. We both can play since it has two discs unlike PS3
