I never had any "gaming mouse" since I don't have that much money to invest in that kind of feature, but you get used to it.

The left click / right click and the wheel have always been enough for me.

I have a keyboard for everything else anyway.

*shrug*

Also, if you think you are better than another PC player because you have a bigger mouse, you are going to have a bad time.

you had enough for the computer, but not a mouse? lol

Considering a decent gaming mouse costs around as much as 16 gigs of RAM it's no surprise.

Also, PS4 not backward compatible. WHAT.R.THEY.THINKING? By the time the PS4/720 comes out, I'll probably be ready to plop a new GPU in my desktop and maybe double the RAM, and mayyybe use a SSD to run programs. I can get all of those components at decent quality and still spend less than a PS4, and still be able to play all my old games <3

That being said, I have a new CPU ready to go for a new build anyway (so I will be spending considerably more than the cost of a PS4 - even though I do have connections for PC components via work), and I do plan on getting a 720 when my 360 finally kicks the bucket.

@ Aerowind - Totally understandable to have tons of buttons for MMO. And when you're used to that, and have them handy, might as well use them for other games too. I'd have to go through a learning curve to get used to more than 2 button commands beyond right and left lick (and wheel click), and I'm too impatient for that lol. Also - My Nostromo sat around for ages before I finally gave in and learned to use it. I had a weird PC/desk set up, so I got it because I thought it would be more comfortable for PC gaming. Turned out to be great - I'll have to relearn regular keyboarding if I ever lose it at this point :P

They want cut the expenses from there. Last time when this was added to PS3, the system was so expensive most people bought Xbox360.

I'm not too up on all the PS4 news, but one would think that they learned a different lesson from the early BC PS3s, which put a physical PS2 chipset into the PS3., then I think the 2nd gen BC PS3s used an emulator. Maybe they already tried it, but it may have been better to start designing the PS4 around the PS3 architecture. I'm sure they had their reasons, but if I were a solid PS3 player with tons of games, I might be a little bummed that I can't play them on the next gen system.

School in those days was where you actually learned something and if you messed around they did more than just talk to you.

That's right, you would get your ass whooped if you stepped out of line.

I think a lot of kids would turn out better if we started beating them again. Ahh... the good ol' days.

Or they'll just turn out mentally unstable and start abusing their children.

were your parents and their parents mentally unstable?:pinched:

My mom never hit me because her mom gave her beatings. I turned out pretty fine actually; she mostly used guilt trips, and those were very effective....

I'd bet $20 that you have body parts in your freezer.

But maybe that's your idea of "fine".

That thing is an abomination and it should be killed with fire.

In regards to the OP why do you need 17 mouse buttons? I understand if you play MMOs but this isn't one of them. You don't even need any mouse buttons to do well, you just need a comfortable keybindings setup.

At least all of you are on a level playing field.

I have played with far too many PC peasants that think that just because they have a mouse, it makes them part of a master race.

This is a lie.

Bow before your masters PC peasants.  Until you own a mouse with seventeen buttons such as I, you shall all be peasants.

tl;dr: How the hell do you guys play games without a Razer naga?  I broke out my laptop and a normal mouse over at a friend's house the other day and did absolutely horridly as I couldn't do crap without taking my hands off either movement or aiming.

Just fyi, I got banned for pretty much the same thing as your post. YMMV

I use this to play with:

17 buttons? dafuq?

my tactX only has 4, 6 if you're counting the sensitivity adjustments and 8 if you count the weird program reset buttons along the bottom.

edit: lol i forgot to account for the middle mouse button, so add 1 to everything up there

Thing is made for MMOs. Obviously I don't use all 17 for ME. I do use 9 of them though. Basically it just maps the 1 through = keys at the top of the keyboard to the 12 button thumb grid.  I admit all of my other Razer stuff is probably a waste of money (excepting my xbox controller), but I'll swear by the Naga til I die.

The Razer naga is an abomination.

I have a Roccat Kone+ which has roughly the same number of buttons, except it's done smartly and it looks and feels like a regular mouse. Not like a freaking hand keyboard.

EDIT : I actually have more buttons, I've got 24.

13 buttons total (includes the left right and scroll wheel tilt) it is comfortable and is wireless/wired. Best of all $60 for a comfortable ergonomic laser mouse. I know there are a lot of  mice out there with the title ergonomic but all of the ones on the  cheap side gave hand cramps for normal web surfing.

I agree Rollblows even though my mouse has 13 I use like 5 of them. Naga is button mashing on steroids.

Mind explaining how exactly it works?  I'd be willing to try it out.  Though I admit, I like the naga precisely because it IS a hand keyboard.  Has got home row notches and everything :P.  I'm always looking for something better though in my battle to win the epeen wars.

This is just.... Stupid. The mouse conversations and comparisons are good, but it's surprising how many people still think Master Race jokes are funny. No one cares that you play on PC. No one cares that I play on XBOX. I got my Xbox 3 years ago and it still works, it still plays brand new games. I don't have to buy new things every time I want to play a new game. You get better graphics, controls, mods, and a weird sense of superiority that makes you look like an ass even if you are just trying to be funny.

Yup, I'm aware. I even prefer consoles. Still, you realize getting upset and raging about it just encourages us, right?

Besides, my will is weak. I'll jump on whatever bandwagon floats by. Hence why my last thread was a nerf EDI one while the one before it was a don't nerf EDI thread.

I'm not upset or raging. Well, maybe upset works, but I just feel that the whole master race thing started as a joke, but some people actually started thinking that having a gaming PC actually made them better than everyone else. And that's just pathetic.

It's not the arrow, it's the Indian.

This is also seen when hunting with an old man using a old rusty gun, verses some guy with the best weapon/ammo money can buy.

I see it ALL THE TIME when Spearfishing. I use a little 48' Biller with one band, and some dude gets on the boat with a 60' 1000$ Wong with 3 bands and a fancy camo job... then I proceed to fill the cooler with grouper/snapper/cobia while he gets a few flounder/sheepshead.
