This is just.... Stupid. The mouse conversations and comparisons are good, but it's surprising how many people still think Master Race jokes are funny. No one cares that you play on PC. No one cares that I play on XBOX. I got my Xbox 3 years ago and it still works, it still plays brand new games. I don't have to buy new things every time I want to play a new game. You get better graphics, controls, mods, and a weird sense of superiority that makes you look like an ass even if you are just trying to be funny.

whats funny is you think they are joking

and no i dont have to buy stuff everytime i get a new game, that was true(kinda) up till about 2005 but since then games have stopped taking those masive jumps, even buying mid range hardware you should get atleast 3 years before you need to upgrade anything and even then you really dont need a huge upgrade, usually just a videocard which can be like $200-$300

$200 to $300 are you high?  regularly good video cards that can go those 3 years  are as cheap as $50 .

17 buttons? dafuq?

my tactX only has 4, 6 if you're counting the sensitivity adjustments and 8 if you count the weird program reset buttons along the bottom.

edit: lol i forgot to account for the middle mouse button, so add 1 to everything up there

Heh, I use a tactX too. Or at least I think its one. Only use 2 buttons lol. And maybe the mouse wheel but its become so damn instinctive that I can't really remember how I switch weapons...

ya true but i was mainly talking mid range cards that will be able to run pretty much every game with max settings for 3 years, for those willing to lower their settings as needed you can get much longer outta your hardware

If it makes you feel any better, I guarantee that the PC scrubs are a thousand times worse than the Xbox scrubs. Actually true of most multiplat games. Sure, Keyboard+Mouse has a higher skill ceiling, but that comes with a much much lower skill floor.   And honestly, I'd much rather have the better ****ty players over all the elites in the world.

PC Pugs are the stuff of nightmares.

i use a deathadder, which has been working just fine. i only need the two buttons on the side as extras. i was, however, thinking of picking up the Naga Hex. it might work a little better.

My  video card which I bought for BF3 was at most 80 bucks and was above recomended. It may have to do with I  have  a Fry's Electronics and  Bestbuy compeating that I get the good deals in the area.

17 buttons or bust. The rest of you are doing it wrong.

Nah but in all seriousness, everyone plays differently. I can't even move my husband's 5 button mouse without getting cramps but it works for him and he can't appreciate the finer points of my 17 button Naga but I still love him.

Why the hate for simpler mice? I might be enticed to invest in those uberdeduber fancy mice, but I absolfrigginlutely need my trackball, and no one really makes those in a "gaming" edition. I seem to do fine without the bells and whistles, though.

I don't. Your the jerkoff who had to memorize a dozen different command keys that could be simplified down to half a dozen controller buttons, not me.<_<

I'm more impressed that Holy Avenger solo'd platinum using a touchpad mouse than that your parents spoil you enough to buy you a 17 button mouse, in all honesty.

Mind explaining how exactly it works?

There's 12 buttons.

Left/right click, mousewheel, mousewheel up and down, mousewheel left and right,  three buttons near the mousewheel, and two side buttons.

However, one of those side buttons' function is to change every other's.

Side button 2 + mousewheel left will do something different than mousewheel left. So you end up with 11*2 = 22 buttons.

And if you have a roccat keyboard, you can have that modifier thing on your keyboard, so you can have 24.

Better than a razer naga but without the ugly look.

Also feels much more natural. For example, left mousewheel = previous page, right mousewheel =next page, side button 2 + mousewheel up/down = volupe up/down, side button 2 + left mousewheel = previous song, side button 2 + right mousewheel = next song.

The Roccat Kone+ is the Claymore of gaming mice
