Charged weapon damage is 110% (0.3667 * 3 =1.1) of uncharged weapon damage (measly 10% extra) + ammo_damage  4*0.3667 + 4 * (sum_weapon damage bonuses) ...

Basically alot of CPU power used to get almost same damage for charged shots as for uncharged shots ...

what is the point of all those wasted cpu cycles ? and charge time

We have been spoiled  - all other chargeable weapons do significantly more damage in chaged mode ..

///////////////////////////////
Venom I 636 base damage no skills ap ammo I

//Uncharged damage 1 grenade
+5409 ms |Health Damage 63.599976 // AP ammo I *0.1 damage
+1 ms |Health Damage 636.000000

//Charged shot 3 grenades each doing 0.3667% damage
+1826295 ms |Health Damage 23.322144
+0 ms |Health Damage 1.000000
+1 ms |Health Damage 1.000000
+1 ms |Health Damage 23.322144
+1 ms |Health Damage 233.221191
+3 ms |Health Damage 1.000000
+1 ms |Health Damage 23.322144
+1 ms |Health Damage 233.221191
+1 ms |Health Damage 1.000000
+2 ms |Health Damage 23.322144
+0 ms |Health Damage 233.221191

636 * 0.3667 * 0.1 = 23.32212 // ap ammo damage (base d)
1 = sum of weapon damage bonuses (1 for naked char)
636 * 0.3667 = 233.2212 // grenade damage

/////////////////////////

Example II

Venom II base damage

Calculated according to cyonan table
(((795 - 636) / 9) * (2 - 1)) + 636 =653.666666

Venom II uncharged shots
+40823 ms |Health Damage 898.791687
+2404 ms |Health Damage 898.791687
+2157 ms |Health Damage 898.791687
+5959 ms |Health Damage 898.791687

653.66700 * (1 + 0.275 - 0.15 + 0.25) = 898.792125

charged //Charged shot 3 grenades each doing 0.3667% damage
+10607 ms |Health Damage 1.375000
+1 ms |Health Damage 1.375000
+3 ms |Health Damage 329.586914
+1 ms |Health Damage 1.375000
+1 ms |Health Damage 329.586914
+0 ms |Health Damage 1.375000
+1 ms |Health Damage 329.586914

1 + 0.275 - 0.15 + 0.25 = 1.375 //sum of weapon damage bonuses .. Why apply it as damage ? 4 times ?!
653.667 * 0.3667 * (1 + 0.275 - 0.15 + 0.25) = 329.587072238

EDIT AFTER BUFF TEST (charge modifier from 110% to 125%)

(sum of weapon damage mods =1 Venom I)

charged shot

35862ms | a. trooper damage: 1.000000
1ms | a. trooper damage: 1.000000
0ms | a. trooper damage: 265.021210
1ms | a. trooper damage: 1.000000
1ms | a. trooper damage: 265.021210
1ms | a. trooper damage: 1.000000
1ms | a. trooper damage: 265.021210

snap shot
7892ms | a. trooper damage: 636.000000

1.25 / 3 = 0.4167
636 * 0.4167 = 265.0212

Nice finding

So is it worth it in your opinion to charge it and get 2 m more radius? Only use I can find is spawn nuking.

Can I get it in layman's terms, please? I've had enough math for one week.

What does the "+'X' ms" mean? I'm completely out the loop in case you hadn't guessed.

Approximate time difference in miliseconds between hits (realtime) .. Not very relevant in the case of these particular tests .. But its in the script because sometimes its needed/helps ...

Wait, so does the charge shot not have a larger radius?

I guess the only use is to charge it up when you're enroute to enemies, fire when you get there, and then just hit them with regular shots.

I knew the charged attack would need a nerf, though going from 500% to 110% seems a bit overkill, even if the base damage was brought up a bit.

Either way, it sucks. It needs a buff.

What the hell was BW doing with the weapons for this DLC? Apart from the Lancer and the Suppressor they all stink (particularly considering most of them are UR!!)

It needs minor tweeks.

The gun is alright, I like using it but it could really use a few more refinements because of its UR status.

Bump for science, also looking forward to information on other guns that were added by the DLC. I am particularly interest by the BPP in hopes that the numbers that are floating around may be incorrect because if the numbers are true the BPP is out performed damage-wise by the tempest, locust and Collector SMG.

That doesn't seem correct from what I've experienced.

I got the 200k point challenge in two Platinum games without firing a charged shot...at all.

Peddro, how does the damage of the BPP compare to the damage of the CSMG versus armour?

I would say that starting less than stellar and buffiing up to good/useful is better than stiarting OP and nerfing down... but then they made the AIU, so that argument is out the window.

Thanks.

Could you look at the Talon's Omnibow? For instance, how do the debuffs function? Are they applied per arrow in the volley or per cast?
