OK, I just downloaded the DLC and decided to check out the store and I noticed there's this new "Gift Pack" BW seemed to be giving out.

I opened it and it gave me a promotional weapon upgrade, then another gift pack appeared. So far I've opened around 5 more packs or so, and it just seems to keep giving me multiple promotional weapons, so figured I'd stop for now and ask around here before I continue.

Anyone else get lots of them or is it just bugged on my end? It seems like I could max out all my promotional weapons, but I don't want to get banned over something like this...

you need to pm a dev. they could ban you for that.

I got the same thing, I opened 4 so far then I expected it to be a bug.
Which dev should I PM about this?

Had the same issue, so just reporting in (although Whole Particle already found my thread ).
I've sent a PM to Bryan Johnson myself as people recommended in my thread.
Now if you excuse me, I'm going to see what the Valiant is like before it gets taken away again!

Would BW really be willing to give out that many Gift Packs for Free? It doesn't sound like everyone has gotten this, only a few of us.

Should also mention I'm on Xbox, that the system you guys received the free packs on as well?

It's a bug. Everyone is supposed to get one gift pack.
So if you continue to open them, they'll ban you. Even if you didn't start this thread or say anything to the devs, they would notice that you were doing it, becaus of that Online feature that collects info about the game

Yeah + 1 here for the same issue. On X-box, wouldn't load my Galaxy At War section, went to store and redeemed about 5 or 6 Free Gift Packs, each containing one Promotional weapon update and one consumable. Thought I'd add myself to the list. It seemed to take a long time as well to make the sale, wouldn't load the pack picture for a few minutes then it did load the picture and about 20 seconds more for the pack to come through.

In UK if that makes any difference to anyone.

I opened around 5 or so before I realized there might be some bug at work. Haven't opened any since posting here though, and would rather just have those Promo weapon upgrades taken away if it meant it was something I could unintentionally get banned over.

Yes same here, I thought they were trying to maybe catch people up seeing as it was the last multiplayer DLC this week. I'll be pretty annoyed if it bans me over a mistaken bug. Hope not :innocent:

Same here, but getting them on PC in the UK. Opened a few before thinking it was a bug. Seem to be getting longer loading times on the packs as well.

Yeah, I missed around 5 operations or so over the entire course ME3MP, and thought maybe this was BW's way of making up for lost missions.


I was planning on completing Operation Impact right now, but I'm going to hold off on it until the Free Gift Pack issue gets resolved, as I wouldn't want a legit Promo upgrade to be taken away based on a store glitch.

I have been out of the game for a month, now I thought, lets play it again since there is a new DLC. And bam... it is bugged. So i'll just continue playing other games until it gets fixed.

Yes, my first one was an Eagle upgrade, then I got a few Valiant and Crusader Upgrades when I continued opening a few of them.

I guess perhaps that was a part of the glitch then too, is it not supposed to give out Promo Weapons?
