Those who had the gift pack more than once are able to redeem them once more, but will only give them either a gold consumable or a reckoning kit. Also if you hit this issue you will not be able to get a commendation pack from impact, but lets be fair you already got your commendation weapon.

More than likely we will not be handing out bans, but would look into cases where it was obvious the player was abusing the situation and those accounts will be potentially rolled back.

Happy to say it worked. Gift Pack gave me a Krogan Warlord and vanished from the store.

Thanks for the Policy info and Status Update Bryan. The fixed work, unlocked the Gift Pack and received a Krogan Warlord.

I encountered this on the 360.  Opened a stupid amount thinking I got packs until one redeemed a Reckoning character or something.  Now I'm sitting with extra shiny N7 weapons, no Reckoning character, unable to do the weekend challenge with a possible banhammer over my head?  It's just not my day.

That might explain how the guy I just played with had a Valkyrie X with only about 150 challenge points and a hidden n7hq profile...

I had to log out of multiplayer and back in before the fix was visible in the store... I had been sitting in the store interface ever since I realized this was a bug, so I guess I needed to leave and come back first...

Bioware can take the gun upgrades I got back if they want.

Glad there is a fix, but I hope I didn't use it "too much". I don't see what the big deal really would be, they aren't purchasable weapons so its not like Bioware lost any money with this. Oh well, back to blasting some aliens I guess..

That's not fair if people got like 10 gun upgrades and don't get rolled back. I am sure that people that play every weekend and some one gets this glitch and has more upgrades than they do. I say everyone that has done this glitch should be rolled back or even the playing field and give out more commindation packs.

 I just had this too. And I too thought it was simply an award, so upgraded all my promo weapons....then double checked on the forums, and my heart sank 

Honest mistake, and by all means bioware can roll back the upgrades, but a ban wouldn't be justified!

Did your fix just completely disable the commendation packs? I've just finished the weekend challenge, and the commendation pack isn't showing up in the store for me.

I haven't run into the gift pack bug since I redeemed my gift pack on Tuesday, so I suppose I fall into the latter category.

In retrospect, it was probably a poorly thought out plan to just keep redeeming the gift packs with the idea that a Reckoning Kit would eventually show up. Oops.
