On gold I use the juggernaught gear, Adrenaline III and Strength III.  On platinum (I've only played one platinum game with him)  I switched out the Adrenaline consumable for Cyclonic IV.

I thought about trying Adrenaline with the Jugg, but didn't want to waste it. Does it actually increase his movement speed significantly?

It increases it enough.

Sooo I played 2 matches with Geth jug. using ThatOddGuy build and I discovered that hex shield isnt very... suportive... now I am gonna try your advices about using geth turret and compare it :) or maybe I just need to get use to this type of character. I realized that you cant stay in open with no enemy near you because you are dead. :D

If there are no enemies close enough to drain, use soft cover and Siege Pulses. Shield can still protect you a bit. It also depends on your weapon choice. My greatest success game from GPS. Close AND long range.

Adrenaline mod is a godsend. Rank 5a in fitness works good alongside it. In my experience, I die less when I can move behind soft cover faster. So Cyclonic is outclassed in this case. I can also track down targets and get in for Heavy Melee quicker.

I'm OCD and don't allow myself to use up mods when I don't have ~20 of them (in the case of lvl 3) so I don't use Adrenaline when I'm hovering in that area. There is no other mod I'd use above it. Tried Cyclonic. I die less if I move faster.

"Hex Shield is really useful when you want to cover one entrance of enemy fire. Shame that Ravager shots seem to just go trough it. They should fix the Hex Shield and Paladin Shield of this effect. "

I found that taking 1-2 steps back from the Hex Shield stopped the Ravager shots from affecting me.  The shield DOES block the shots, but if you're standing too close, you are still within their blast radius when they hit the shield.

--I do find Adrenaline Mods worthwhile on the Jugg.  They make a noticeable difference in movement speed, and given that speed is one of the biggest weaknesses; it's worth the investment.

I prefer the shield to the turret.  The only times I get downed with the Jugg is when I'm taking lots of ranged fire.  It's the Ravagers, Atlases, Scions, etc. that are the main dangers because they don't come into melee range for you to use Heavy Melee.  Phantom packs can be dangerous at range, but they close in quickly and allow you to deal with them via melee.  Brutes are jokes who can ONLY damage you at close range, and Banshees don't do much damage from range either.

Throwing up a shield between you and the high damage ranged units is key when you can't put soft cover between you and them.

Good analysis. And you are absolutely right about taking a step or two back. I think this is where the misconception of said ammunition bypassing Hex Shield comes from. So, too, is this where the problem with the N7 Paladin's shield comes from. Splash damage isn't blocked.

Phantoms are easy. Shield blocks their pew pew.

I live in gold these days with the Juggernaut, My build is no Hex at all. The geth turret is all heals and I toss it behind me before I engage. Since I do PUGs, yeah its pretty bad, I use the Cy Mod as good as I can get it. This helps when the flamer guy stays right behind you burning every battery in reach. He gets a really high score and you need all the shields you can get.

Hey TS, welcome to the Juggernaut compendium!! Here's the build I use on Gold. I go full offensive. I find he's already quite defensive with this build and going full defensive leaves you woefully useless when you have to solo a wave or 2.

http://narida.pytalh...gernautShield5/

I'll explain the reason for this build. I used to go the defensive route and I find that most PUG's do not want to stick together and will go down too often to utilize the Geth Turret Shield restore often. I find it's best to use it only if you see a teammate getting hit by a boss or after rezzing them in a hot zone. It's best to use it as an offensive power otherwise and to back up your teammates rushing a spawn point too as both a shield pylon and as a flamethrower.

Hex Shield more often then not is a hindrance then a boon. Gets in the way to often and I stopped using it pretty much after extensively play testing it as a defensive shield (large shield) and as a power enhancer (damage synergy). The extra 3 levels for 10% damage isn't worth it. I just use it now as someone else mentioned. To cover flanks, to protect from Ravagers, Scions, Turrets and Primes at range when meleeing/tanking, and for protecting allies while rezzing or while doing objectives. I use it sparingly now.

Siege Pulse is your bread and butter. Spam Siege on bosses, use it as a finisher on mooks after melee or as a opener which I usually finish off with the Lancer/Turret combo. It's also great to get enemies out of cover of course. Watch everything drop like flies.

Lastly I go full health because I still like to tank for my teammates and the melee I use for restoring shields not for running faster or killing. His other powers are better for doing that quicker and more efficiently

Also one more thing. As someone mentioned about the PPR and CSMG it's a good idea to use a weapon that doesn't require using a lot of ammo or trips to an ammo box. I go with the Lancer as it's lighter then the PPR and I can spam Siege Pulse and Turrets much faster. Good synergy and the Lancer has a great clip size even at a low rank and does decent damage with the right Amps on Gold/Plat. I use GPSMG only if I accidentally overheat the Lancer and need it in a pinch. It has a ton of ammo, it's super light, good penetration on armor and gets a slight damage bonus with Geth.

I'd go with Damage Protection every time as the Siege Pulse level 5 evo. Duration doesn't do a great deal for you when you factor in the pause between shots anyway and the 40% damage reduction (if you take Number of Shots rank 6 evo) is just too useful to pass up on any difficulty.

Ok. So I don't think anyone else as said about it, despite it being the reason the jug is unstoppable, his heavy melee will grab 1 enemy and drain their health and recover your shields. Basically it doesn't mater what build you choose as long as your fitness is good, I recommend durability, and power transfer, just until you understand how he plays. Then change it up at a later date

I build my Jug without the shield and I use siege pulse specced for DR.
On gold/plat I equip a cyclonic mod making him incredibly durable.
I always carry the PPR+Reager+Incendiary and I usually score pretty well.
Not sure this is the best possible build as Ive seen very effective play with other builds but it does work well.

Top 5 stupid things to diminish damage output, troll the team and waste time:
1. Speccing into DR instead of damage on Siege Pulse, and not spamming it
2. Using Hex Shield at all
3. Speccing into melee and using it to do damage
4. Using an Adrenaline Mod instead of a Power Amp
5. Not using the Fire Turret
