For every AIU I see in a lobby there are 2 Juggernauts.

Lol, this was my experience today.

I don't care what people play, and for all the talk about how the AIU is so brokenly OP, neither of the ones I've played with has scored high. Hell, my plain old Human Engineer was still rocking with AIUs running around.

Either way, I actually like having both AIUs and Juggys in my lobbies. With the AIUs I dont have to worry about rezzing them and the Juggys make things so relaxing when they tank bosses.

the only problem I have with edibots is that bad ones steal all my cluster grenades. I wouldnt go to the trouble of kicking them. Unless they outscored me obviously. My feelings are easily hurt. :(

All the AUI hate and meanwhile you could probably solo Platinum the easiest with the Geth Juggernaut....

I.E. What Mindlog said.

Yes. There was a time when GIs with Krysaes were being kicked from PUGs.

Inverse you know my opinions on the AIU, but in the end the most appealing aspect of this game is the variety of characters/weapons/specs you can run. No matter how OP something is you should still always have the option to play it, for that is the reason Bioware introduced this character. Sorry you got stuck with a terrible pug who thinks he can dictate how others play a game. I believe you chose the right course of action in just leaving.

If you are on next time I am looking for people to play with I will send you an invite.

It ain't just the AIU. The Juggy has been getting hate as well because "He can't do objectives or get to revives in time." I soloed with the Juggy on silver and not even had any problems with the objectives. When I played with friends, I told them if I was across the map, I might not make the revive, but if they were close enough, I'll do what I can.

Just hope when I get the AIU, the hate would have died down a bit.

I've been kicking AIU players too. No room for garbage scrubs in my games.

You could play with my buddies. The only people we kick is that random LVL 20 (N7 Rating) On Plat and Gold's on Silver and goof off gold's we pretty much let anyone play

Kicking people for wanting to play a character be dumb. There's nothing wrong with nerfherding - i5 in fact promotes variety - but I like my AIU team member, and don't want to exclude her in the meantime. :(

Honestly, the only solution is to not PUG and just play with people you know. I'm not saying every PUG is bad, or even a high percentage is bad, but the bad ones spoil the game pretty hard. I consider myself pretty resistant to generally crappy internet (or MP game) behavior, but there's only so many times I can laugh derisively at people being jerks before I start actually getting angry, and getting angry while playing a video game is on par with hitting yourself in the nuts with a crowbar for fun. Better to just not.

Not encountered this with the aiu yet. On the pc though when a friend of mine selected the juggernaut, someone in the lobby made some snide comment about "gold being easy enough as it is".  I just found it funny as to why someone would care what someone else plays. If you don't suck at what you're doing, I know I couldn't care less what someone plays.

That is petty. While I think the kit is OP and I have no interest in using it/do not like it, I do not care what class someone uses. As long as you help throughout the game, during objectives, etc. I have no qualms. I often use grenade classes but that is what thermal clips are for in case of multiple grenade users.

I don't really get what anybody feels he is losing if someone else in the group is playing a character that probably makes the match easier. It's a team effort for petes sake! I actually prefer playing gold with AIUs since they (and me) will probably require less ressing.

But I guess it is as someone mentioned earlier in this thread: pugs like to lose.

First thing that enters my head when an EDIbot enters the lobby.

Cool, they can carry me.

Have yet to be carried by one though. =(

I got the impression they were that rampant that the GIs kicked everyone else.

Its one thing to not want to group with players you feel are going to be a liability and another when players feel like their egos are threatened. I got dropped into a game as a AIU and there was another AIU. I quickly climbed up and earned my keep while the other AIU sat at the bottom. Just because someone is playing one does not mean they will stomp the rest of the group.

If you are worried that a player is playing a AIU to cover up their badness then you should at least be glad that they are not playing some other character that would only further hold back the group.

Maybe while people moan and gripe about the aiu, I can focus back on playing my favorite character, the TGI.

Ive been kicked for having the Lone Wolf banner. Crys of "look a missile glitcher" before I was kicked. Ive never missile glitched but people assume crap they read on the BSN is true and auto react. So AIU is OP and lacks skill to play is what the PUG consensus is. Never mind the reality. Notice how less skilled people don't really score that well with it? Or if they do score well it usually is because someone in the lobby is running around as a Volus Mercenary using a Widow IV or doing something else ridiculous. The problem is usually hyperbole and conjecture ignoring facts. There are other mitigating factors forumites and PUGs fail to realize.

Im on Xbox if you need a group let me know via pm. I don't kick.

I have yet to see an AIU contribute in a meaningful way to a PUG.

...but how is that different from any other kit in some PUGs?

AIU is just the latest excuse. Some people who PUG are just looking for a reason to pile on the hate. If it wasn't the AIU, it probably would've been something else.
