Look at the entire picture and not just the pride demon. I know the pride demon demands your attention but Oghren is off on the side.

And yes, Oghren has a unique hairstyle and beard.

And as a bonus it looks like for new companions we get - A Dalish Mage, a Human Mage with a ponytail, and a Qunari with the shephard cut.

It's a dwarf with short, red hair. The SAME dwarf you see at 1:18 with a different weapon and *solo* this time. So, either that's a PC or the mage is a PC. And seeing as how the mage is activating the trees to attack you, I don't think the mage is the PC.

I'll just reiterate the fact that Oghren has a unique hairstyle and beard. I find it beyond highly unlikely that BioWare would give us another Dwarf companion that has the same hairstyle, beard, skin color, and hair color as Oghren and it not be Oghren.

However, feel free to speculate because honestly knowing that Oghren returns doesn't make any difference. There are far more interesting things in the trailer to talk about.

Looks dwarf-y to me..  but then, that might just be the angle and comparing to the giant trees >.<


And on second look, I can see the character at 1:10 now (skipping ahead doesn't always show him) and while the armor is similiar, I don't see a sword, or exactly the same.  It's, imo, too brief.  But that might just be my smallish and kind of old monitor

Oghren has the same hair cut as the PC can select in Creation, as well as the same Hair cut as Alistair sports, and probably 100 other NPCs. This stuff about a unique hair style is pure malarkey. As far as the beard goes, I don't know, never made a dwarf but, I never once saw the front of that dwarfs face.



Anyway I suppose we are inclined to believe what we want to. So I wont agrue this anymore accept to say; before running around saying its unique, look more closely at the NPC's and companions you encounter. There is nothing unique about Oghrens hair.

Pretty much my thoughts, lol I wanted to wait until I got home to verify the hair as I was sure it was the same cut alastir had, but I didn't want to put my foot in my mouth. Thanks for verifying that

Sorry, but you're mistaken. Oghren's hairstyle is unique. It's fairly similar to Alistair's hairstyle in the front but it is not the same. The only way to get his hair and beard in the game is via the toolset. Perhaps you should look closer and do a comparison yourself.

Oghren has a freakin unique hairstyle. BIO has said this multiple times and it's plain to see for everyone on the wiki which has every drop of information in the game and the books as well.



The dwarf in the trailer is freakin Oghren. Sorry to burst the bubble of the Oghren haters, but it's pretty obvious it's him, not ZOMG SOME DWARF PARTY MEMBER WHO HAPPENS TO ROCK THE SAME BEARD AND HAIR WHEN WE'RE TOLD A PARTY MEMBER WILL BE RETURNING AND HE IS QUITE CLEARLY IN PARTY FORMATION IN THE TRAILERS.



I mean seriously. Some of you guys are about as dense as a neutron star.

well if wiki says it then it must be true

Also please show me the trailer where it's "quite clearly" him. If it was clearly him then there wouldn't be speculation then would there? BIOWARE wouldn't have to not answer who the old favorite is if you can clearly see it's him.

It's not about being dense, it's about wanting some sort of difinitive proof and not speculation given some flashes of a dwarf with red hair.

Ight I admit when I'm wrong. Oghren's is a slightly modified version of the short hair that is available.

Ill also admit that there is a dwarf in the trailer as the mage pulls out of view. However its far away. Its impossible to make out at a glance or even stopped if its Oghren. I only noticed the differences after looking at Oghren close up.

Anyway, I was wrong, but I do not think its Oghren, and if it is... its stated by Bioware that at best most the old companions will be guest shots.

If I'm wrong again, I'm wrong. I still don't think he will be the major returning character. If he is. Well alls the more painful for me then.

That definitely looks like Oghren... That doesn't prove he's the companion, but I think it's the best bet based on the evidence so far.

It would help if we could confirm whether or not Oghren can be killed in DAO.
