ME1: Liara & Garrus/Tali

I don't know why, ME2 invited me to play with different combinations more. The only ones I used significantly less were Jacob, Kasumi and Thane. No reason in particular.

For my "main" (Adept) I used:

ME1: Liara and Kaidan
ME2: Mordin and Kasumi
ME3: Liara and Javik (then Kaidan)

I always preferred squadmates with the best powers over the soldiers -- their aim was never that great. Though, on my Sentinel, I did enjoy using Ashley and James with double Typhoon, Amplified Concussive Shot and Carnage Tech Combos.

ME1: Wrex, Liara and Garrus (Mostly because Wrex had really awesome Dialogue)
ME2: Grunt and Garrus (Grunt is a good Bullet Sponge, He took point 75% of my ME2 Playthrough)
ME3: Liara and Javik (Javik's condescending Dialogue is humorous at times)

ME2: Can't really say, but my two fav were Samara (biotic combo!) and Mordin
ME3: Garrus/Liara or one of the two with Javik (kaidan is really good to)

That being said, I usually play all of them. The only one I never really used are James/EDI

ME 1: Kaidan & Wrex (a few side missions I use Garrus and Wrex)

ME 2: Little tougher as I have more favs and more choices, but mostly it was:
Zaeed, Grunt, Jack and Legion. Once in awhile Garrus, just do to some of his
funny remarks.

ME3: Garrus, James and Javik. before citadel attack and Kaidan and Garrus post.
Although I do mix in James a bit with Kaidan too.

For story reasons I like the rotate the squadmates in & out, and use them all on different missions. So it would be hard for me to say which squadmates I use most, since I use them all more or less equally.

Liara and Garrus were my favorite ME1 and ME3 combos though.

That's typically only for critical missions, though. For assignments (or non-priority missions), I tend to get play time with most of the squad, especially in ME2 and ME3.

My Shepard is a soldier. In all three games I tried to use each of the teammates at least once. But most often used squad members were:

ME2: Jacob and Garrus
ME3: Garrus and Liara/Kaidan

I had a much harder time singling out one squad member in 3, but it still ended up mostly being Garrus and Liara for the first half...then I started slowly using Ash & Liara for the second half with Garrus & Javik sprinkled in for good measure. Thessia + Javik = good times.
