After taking a break from the game for about three months, I coincidentally decided to start playing again tuesday. In the past four days, I have seen many of the characters either in game or selected in the lobbies, including some that I probably wouldn't enjoy playing myself. However, I've seen very few Drells (I've also seen very few Salarians and Asari and oddly Volus, but that's not the point of this thread)

In the same time frame, I've been enjoying the Drell Adept and wondering why more people don't play as him (Preferably not when I'm playing as him though. I like to claim every grenade box on the map at once), or the other two Drell (Vanguard is a little trickier for me and the Infiltrator was the only other Drell I actually saw). I know for a fact that at least two of them are not bad classes (Like I said, I can't really work the Vanguard that well) and I even had great success in Platinum with the Adept (By the way, has Platinum gotten easier? In the few times I've ventured into Platinum, I've had no real difficulty compared to before) 

Oh, I'm on Xbox if that helps. I know different characters might be more popular on different platforms

The Drell Vanguard is and will always be the best Vanguard / character ever.

At least for me, it was the first character I really enjoyed to play, and it still is the one I have the most fun with.
Dat speed.

But I am on PC so, too bad.

Biotics are becoming a lost art, unfortunately.

I still play my Asari, Drell and when I want to use a Pistol or SMG on an Infiltrator the Salarian is my go to.

Few people can appreciate them because they're squishy. Drell Vanguard is one of my top 3 favorite classes - his damage output is amazing.

I used to love the Drell Adept but since coming back to the game, I'm a bit out of practice with Biotics so I'm not using them much at the moment. Tempted to jump on and play a quick Bronze with the Drell Adept before bed now actually...

The Drell Adept is unbelievably good. Area reave, clusters, adrenaline mod.

And don't get me started on that trenchcoat...

Drell will forever be my favorite. The Adept is so destructive and the Vanguard blitz attacks everything. The infiltrator isn't what I imagined he'd be, though still fun (and incredibly powerful) nonetheless.

The only Drell I see with any frequency is the Drell Infiltrator.

Most people, in my experience, find the Drell to be difficult to master, partially because of their low health/shields. I love all of the Drells, personally.

How do you chaps and chapesses play the drell vanguard. I could never quite fine the sweet spot with him as opposed to the assguard.

What I've done is go for power synergy on Biotic Charge and go for stupidly powerful cluster grenades

It works, sort of. Beats the Melee spec that I had on him

Fitness for health, charge is radius, power synergy, barrier, clusters are radius, damage combo, shrapnel, passive is for power damage with the final evolution as weapon damage.

Raider with HVB and smart choke, shock trooper mod, slap whatever ammo mod on it you prefer of Disruptor, Warp, or Incendiary (usually disruptor for geth/cerberus or warp for rippas/collectors). Charge and shoot, grenades for packs.

Incendiary rounds with that too for fire explosions or warp for damage.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.  Charge and cluster grenades keep them staggered while you feed them claymore pellets.  DO NOT stand still.  Lots of lateral movement is encouraged.  Claymore>charge>claymore>cluster repeat.  If you get the extra charge from bonuse power use it if appropriate.

I used to play the Drell adept fairly often, but I've been trying out the new kits this week.

I use all the Drells almost all the time when i host. Adept->Vanguard->Infiltrator.

The drell adept and infiltrator are absolutely fantastic. I've never been a very big fan of the vanguard myself, but to each their own.

Drell Adept will always be my favorite. People just don't play with Biotics anymore. It's a real shame.

Drells are much too powerful unless pugging or playing Platinum. Drell Adpet/Vanguard are some of my top classes for damage output.

Plus most people are still using new kits (myself included).

Eh...I'm not a fan of Drell, but after experimenting in Silver for the past few weeks I can see why people like them. I still think the Slayer and possibly the Cabal are better (and more interesting) as far as Vanguards go.

As for build, this is what I like:
BC: Radius, Weapon Synergy, (Either for rank 6)
Clusters: Damage, Extra Grenades, Shrapnel
Pull: Skip
Passives: Damage&Capacity, Power Damage, Weapon Damage
Fitness: All health

Claymore with HVB and Smart Choke
Incendiary Ammo
Adrenaline Mod III
