I just saw a guy that earned 100,000 points in silver using geth prime, the guy was noob he was 35 N7, and 80 challenges points he was using an avenger IV and GPSG I with no mods and no gear, this make me think that this character is quite powerfull, if this characters isn't nerfed i'll see all players using it.

Ahhhhh! The ever classic "I got my arse kicked by a noob. This character needs nerfing." response. There are quite a few kits built that way for bronze/silver: Kroguard, Vanguare, Demolisher, Destroyer, GI, TGI... etc. So umm yeah, no.

Well we cant have a new character that isn't overpowered, right?

Funny, when I'm playing the jug I usually more than double the second place score because the second I attract a boss mob my group thinks I've got the whole wave and runs to the other end of the map. So I have to spam consumables and basically shield drain the whole match by myself, with the occasional pulse thrown in.

Wh duz no1 help mEEEEEE!!!! ><

If you are not shield draining the entire match, you're doing it wrong! Lol he is the new (less mobile) KroGuard.

Precisely. It's wonderful having a Jugg keep the nasty sync-killing bosses off other teammates while they burn them down. Good ol' fashioned tank 'n spank.

Juggy isn't rambo.  Stay with the team and have all the synch killers latch onto you

Precisely. I'm surprised this kit is getting any flak at all, what with all the general sync-kill hate here on the forums. I was so sure BSN would be happy to see a kit that can reliably tank sync-killers away from the team.

I've been playing the Jugg a lot since I got it, but if the rest of the team goes down and I get downed early in a wave, I pretty much call it, the Jugg just doesn't have the damage output to clear a full wave or anywhere near the mobility to get away from a pack if you gel after going down in a pack.

Lol what? You could not be more wrong. The Juggernaut is an absolute beast, easily capable of soloing (even an entire game if need be). Just the other day I started a match solo of U/U/G and no one joined, I got Dagger/Cerberus and made it to wave 10 with two missles left and one gel when it gave me an object delivery with the enemy spawn between me and my destination, missiled twice to clear it but they spawned in the same spot and killed me.

And on top of it I was using the wrong build (I've since specced out of Hex shield into a fully healing turret, and at the time of that game I was waiting on a respec card to make that very change). Also I was using an adrenaline module II I believe (Executioner w/ Power Amp and AP mods).

Also I've broken 200,000 points twice in two days with the Jugg (in U/U/G PUGs, in games where there were three other people in the match), so anyone thinking it's okay to score low with this guy is delusional. It's the Volus argument all over again, and the fact remains that you have to kill things to properly cobtribute to your team (in addition to performing supportive tasks), and any Juggernaut that is only acting as a decoy without killing large jumbers of enemies as well is essentially leeching (and, suffice it to say, they're doing it wrong).

I really like this class but damn pugs are dumb when there's one. Almost every pug I've played with it I end up with 5-6 banshees, brutes, and ravangers bottle necked on me and my team just runs away and leaves me to die a slow death.
This class is great, I wish he had a short sprint, maybe three or four steps or atleast make it so it can drop packages, but either way it's a lot of fun to play.
I do think they need to fix the heavy melee targeting, if you're not dead center on a baddy it just fizzles, which with its short CD is really annoying when you have a lot of enemies hitting you or powers going all wub wub all around you.

That.

When I am with a good team, I ace the jug with no problem, toping the scoreboard. A "good team", just hit bosses hard when those are occupied with jug, so jug can block them (and stay alive) and other can take xp and kills.

But noooooOooooo. It is soooo better to go elswhere and let the jug alone. Alone ? Of course not ! All those banshees/brutes/atlasses/etc are there to party !

Meanwhile, three other players are dying at the other side of the map, because, you know, it is sooo trendy.

Its a difficult kit to use i fine it best against reapers as crowd control unit. If built right with gear and amps can handle 2 banshees and a brute while the other players take them out easier.

@Lucius

I always do at least second place when scoring the jug, and that's usually when someone is flying around the map soloing everything the second it pops up and so takes first. The jug may be able to kill but it's tough to keep up with that.

That said I always score well with him. When shield draining heavy mobs I usually fire off a pulse real quick after it quits and it "recharges". I shoot at heavier mooks that don't die from it outright, and pulse things at range. I also pulse heavy targets on my way over to them. That pulse hits HARD, even on gold. Contributing by both support and score is never an issue. He's great for escort missions.

Yeah I've Solo'd Silver with a Volus so what's your point? It's Silver...But on Gold or Plat Juggy can have a fairly rough time. As I've said I haven't seen 1 random come above 3rd OR extract yet on Gold PUGs.

Considering the Juggernaut is ment to be a damage sponge instead of a damage dealer why are you so suprised that they dont come in above third? If your Tank is comming in first or second that means the rest of the team is terrabad. I dont use that word often but it applies here. They Juggernaut is a bottleneck for teams to beat down upon. Traps bosses and mooks for easy kills.

I have been frequently playing the Juggernaut and I rarely come in over third on Plat. games. If I am then we generally wipe as the Juggernaut just cant carry a team like that.

Point is, just cause they are third or fourth doesnt make them bad.

I just don't see how anyone can consider the Juggy OP. Yeah he can take all the damage but has a hard time when surrounded by Banshees or Phantoms. Juggy works best with the team not solo. So if he's better with the team how is that OP?

I play my Jugg as a Tank/support class. Draw aggro from bosses and use heavy melee to shut down phantoms. I took all the durability options on Hardened Platform and the DR from Siege Pulse. Only time I have a problem is when I'm being swarmed by 4+ bosses, and I'm heavy melee-ing for my life and my team is somewhere else thinking I'm nigh on invincible.

This is true, but half the time I find that it's the opposite problem, the Jugg starts leaching a banshee and the team just runs away to kill other stuff and then the Jugg ends up alone with enemies stacking up while it leaches one at a time and hope that it'll be able to tank the whole stack.  That's pretty much the only way I end up dieing as the Jugg.

I think it's very situational...there are times when it seems like the jugg can handle a banshee by himself, so i'll leave him alone and go and kill other enemies, but sometimes in doing that you can have enemies that spawn around him as you're leaving. If i see that he's taking on more than he can handle, i'll hang around and help him out and try not to hit the enemy he's draining.

But like i stated in another thread, i also ran into a guy who stated i was stealing his kills, when i was just trying to help the guy clear the wave...so it just depends on the situation, for the most part in general, i don't like to leave anybody alone...especially the jugg, even tho he's strong, i kinda feel like i'm bailin' on him when i see him take on a banshee by himself.

I definitely won't leave if i see him getting swamped by enemies or bosses tho...

Honestly I can't use the Jug or the Warlord. I am just terrible with them both. It maybe the fact that I like the faster character like the Drell. Besides according to everyone every new class is OP so why is this new to some people. We are never satisfied thats why we should hurry up and use all the characters and have fun with them now till nerfs starts happening.

My biggest complaint is that most Juggernauts play like complete imbeciles. Half of them stroll around the map never using their guns and needlessly spam their weak melee. It's meant to be a survivability tool in a pinch (and to tank sync-kill units while the team unloads on them). But randoms want to do their stupid melee build and its beyond frustrating.

Your average Gold PUG took 23-25 minutes before this thing came out. Idiotic Juggernauts are stretching games to 30 minutes. It's annoying as hell.

As I may have stated before, My Juggs is made for tanking the bosses. Not an ENTIRE MOB of baddies. If you play games with me while I'm the Juggie and I'm not doing much damage, it's prolly cause I'm trying to keep shields ups. Otherwise, I'll use my weapon and turret to do the most damage. But hey, if the team is getting swamped, I'll toss a turret over there to help until I get there. Even with Adrenaline Module 3, he is still the slowest.

He works fine if you play him as a normal slow character.

Don't try to "tank" or whatever just loiter around the team, stick to high cover, and shoot crap with them. If something happens to get close THEN you get in the way of it to buy time, but the problem starts when guys start trying to draw aggro or face tank half a wave instead of just playing rather normally, but with the added bonus of being hard to kill and able to distract sync killers without risk. He's a weapon class that also happens to have some acutal durablity and staying power, play him as such don't try and go out of your way to tank or draw fire or whatever.

So after PUG'n Gold I've seen 4 different players FAIL horribly using a Juggy. Why the hell does anyone think this kit needs a nerf? Yes he's super tanky, yeah he can't be sync killed but it doesn't change the fact that I haven't seen 1 do well with it yet. Ravagers, Scions, Atlas and Primes still take Juggs out fairly quickly if your not paying attention. Anyone who thinks this kit needs a nerf is nuts, now the AIU that's a different story.

Just played th most horrible PUG ever.  Reactor geth gold.  I was the jugg and it was the first time I ever carried a match...and it wasn't pretty.  Got the 15 revive medal by wave 7, I think and I couldn't get there fast enough to revive half the time.  50 melee kill medal (a first for me).  Scored 100000 points over the 2nd place person.  PS3 pugs are usually okay...but the people I played with didn't use any rockets until wave 10!  They didn't gel except towards the end.  I think I soloed 9 waves.  And I ain't no elite player....took me over an hour.  I'm a slow soloer.
Jugg is a tank.  Slap melee gear and consumables on.  I specd out of hex sheild and spamed my fire breathing healing turret.  Used adrenaline mod.
Everyone's loadout was deceptive in the lobby.  It looked okay but went horribad.  Still don't know WTF happened.

Did you know that a Juggernaut specced for full durability, with the max 40% DR from Siege Pulse, still loses two thirds of his shields to one burst of 3 Scion shots on bronze?

I think Scions may still need a damage nerf. Probably down to just a bit more than Ravager level damage.

I sometimes wonder if scions have a DR ignore bonus or something...since they seem to blast a seemingly improper amount of shields off a hefty character, no matter how much you have them buffed up.

Also, for those who show up only after your jug is overwhelmed...it's too late. The amount of enemies required to overpower a jug is more than you can eliminate in a quick enough time unless you rocket. Stay with him, kill the boss he has the attention of. It goes faster that way and your Jug doesn't immediately hate you for running off the second he starts shield draining something.

May have been me. Juts humble little old me.

On an related note randoms failing with the Juggernaut is nothing. Randoms fail with every kit regarless of how much health and shields it has. Failing with the Juggernaut just means they're playing him like an unstoppable killing machine without actually knowing how to make him so.

So your teammates actually helped kill the things you were tanking?

Hmm...this is fascinating...it has the potential for groundbreaking new scientific advances...
