Whenever I see Jugg choking the life out of phantom, I am so torn "should I help him get rid of her faster or will he be angry because he was trying to replenish his shields?"
If it is a Phantom I say shoot her. She deserves it. Besides if they are floating around odds are there are other things close by that will be turned into goo soon enough with the heavy melee.

^^That match took 45 minutes too, due to low damage output and needing to drain for shields rather than use weapons. I wasn't going to bail out and lose my equipment tho, I knew I could handle it

A juggernaut will only score 100.000 in silver if the rest of the team is completely inept at killing stuff. Well or they too are new at the game.
In any case if you're good at killing stuff and/or staying alive you will outscore those who aren't as good.

just saw this myself. friend and i were unfortunately stabbed by phantoms in a gold match. the jugg goes down and didn't bother using a gel.
I've been playing the Jugg a lot since I got it, but if the rest of the team goes down and I get downed early in a wave, I pretty much call it, the Jugg just doesn't have the damage output to clear a full wave or anywhere near the mobility to get away from a pack if you gel after going down in a pack.
Lol what? You could not be more wrong. The Juggernaut is an absolute beast, easily capable of soloing (even an entire game if need be). Just the other day I started a match solo of U/U/G and no one joined, I got Dagger/Cerberus and made it to wave 10 with two missles left and one gel when it gave me an object delivery with the enemy spawn between me and my destination, missiled twice to clear it but they spawned in the same spot and killed me.
And on top of it I was using the wrong build (I've since specced out of Hex shield into a fully healing turret, and at the time of that game I was waiting on a respec card to make that very change). Also I was using an adrenaline module II I believe (Executioner w/ Power Amp and AP mods).
Also I've broken 200,000 points twice in two days with the Jugg (in U/U/G PUGs, in games where there were three other people in the match), so anyone thinking it's okay to score low with this guy is delusional. It's the Volus argument all over again, and the fact remains that you have to kill things to properly cobtribute to your team (in addition to performing supportive tasks), and any Juggernaut that is only acting as a decoy without killing large jumbers of enemies as well is essentially leeching (and, suffice it to say, they're doing it wrong).
And I got a 10 waves survive medal using the Ghost to solo gold and only used 4 missiles and 1 ammo pack.
Jugg has average damage output, but knowing the map (and getting a good map) are a HUGE requirement to solo with it.
Jugg isn't God, you have to find a place in the map that limits the damage you recieve from ranged enemies, otherwise you are in serious trouble, specially with collectors.
Also score in a match means hack ****, there are way too many variables.
Are you Hosting?
Are other players lagging?
Are other players using underpowered builds?
Are you using equipment? are they?
Are other players just down right awful?
Did the other players stay behind you all the time instead of running pass your sorry slow ass to kill everything before you got even close to the enemies?

The fact that he's sync-kill immune is almost completely balanced out by the fact that when he actually does die there's usually a ton of baddies right on top of him and he's so slow he can't gel and run to safety like more mobile kits can.

The team wasn't bad, they mostly kept near me.
Someone mentioned earlier the GJ should stick with the team. I think it's the other way, the team should stick with him. If they all run off, that's on them. Not like he could catch up.

On Gold this works only for the first waves. When the bosses pile up on him he has two option: Drain until the wave is over or go down. Except you have teammates capable of thinking. They could take of the little ones from him so he can fire some shots in between, which immensely speeds up the killing.
This leads to the strange fact that the Juggy scores higher if the team steals his kills.

I was playing a Warlord in a Silver match last night with a Jug, Cabal, and Collector. Against Cerb.
The Cabal and AC kept going down early in every wave, while me and the jug just slowly made our way around Vancouver taking out everything in our path. Neither of us went down once.
I know it was Silver, but I'm now hoping to take an amped up Krogan into Gold, I think the Hammer and Jug make a great tanky team. The jug had my back while I was throwing the hammer down.

We got a Juggernaut Squad together last night and quite literally *walked* Platinum. This kit is outrageously powerful in heavy melee. I am really not sure how to fix it though - if you weakened his shield-drain, then he'd get cut to shreds due to his speed.
Now if you had 1 Juggy, 2 Geth Engi's and and GI that would have been a dream team.

The way I look at both of these 2 kits is that the Krogan Warlord is an Offensive Tank, while the Geth Juggernaut is a Defensive tank. I mean these 2 work well together from my experience, with the Geth Juggernaugt being a destraction, the Krogan Warlord can come behind him and use Biotic Hammer and deal massive amounts of Damage and keep up his rage without worry about synckills from bosses. This really shines when its a corridor or hallway.

Longest match was 42 mins. You're right, of course. However, I don't remember the last time I got a 5 Waves Survived medal on Platinum.U Bite My Pillow wrote...

Yeah I've Solo'd Silver with a Volus so what's your point? It's Silver...But on Gold or Plat Juggy can have a fairly rough time. As I've said I haven't seen 1 random come above 3rd OR extract yet on Gold PUGs.
Considering the Juggernaut is ment to be a damage sponge instead of a damage dealer why are you so suprised that they dont come in above third? If your Tank is comming in first or second that means the rest of the team is terrabad. I dont use that word often but it applies here. They Juggernaut is a bottleneck for teams to beat down upon. Traps bosses and mooks for easy kills.
I have been frequently playing the Juggernaut and I rarely come in over third on Plat. games. If I am then we generally wipe as the Juggernaut just cant carry a team like that.
Point is, just cause they are third or fourth doesnt make them bad.
This. I extracted on a non-speedrun plat for the first time last night; the jug finished fourth, but absolutely was the key in the win. Everything went after him, so I bubbled him and we just crushed the enemies around him with BEs. Itw as the first actually fun round of plat I've played, and I really appreciate him playing the less interactive class for the good of the team
He's also great for holding the fort on lower difficulties when you have a friend or two that hasn't played much.
It's a great team-oriented class.

Its not so much the score, its that they run (lumber) into the hoard and expect to be able to tank and instead they end up running out of Gel at wave 5. That and the rest of the team leaving poor Juggs all by himself, which is dumb since he can tank the sync killers.New Gnu wrote...

At one point, I was surrounded by about 4-5 Phantoms. Had them dancing around me, slashing my legs and an Atlas was firing on me while I was draining them. I toughed it out, had to pop a combat ops pack at one point. But finally I said to my buddy "Dude, these bugs are really biting me, could you please rocket them. I can't move!, they stopped the Juggernaut!". Next thing I know, they all blow up.
I have proceeded to save people from Phantom stabs, and block other big nasties, like a boss.
But yeah, the Juggernaut is an awesome character. Not invincible by any stretch. But damn good at what he does. Just not a point scorer really. But that's okay, I'd rather say that I choked a Phantom that was gonna stab someone then go "I a million billion points, check my E-peen meter!" any day.

Well I managed to extract in a gold PUG, on Vancouver, and I've scored first, one medigel used. People underestimate the Hex shield... Juggy is an apparently easy kit, but on gold you have to carefully plan your power usage. When you're absorbing someone, you have to rotate the camera to look at others enemies. This way I could see when a ravager was about to shoot at me, so I stopped the heavy melee and placed a shield. Skipped the Geth Turret this time.

Congrats now I've seen it, however look at that time. 31:10 for a gold? I blame your randoms not you for the time tho. Hex Shield is a unknown blessing for Boss tanking. Go for damage on Rank 4 & 5 and put it up between heavy melee's to increase damage and potentially block Atlas or Ravager shots. It's a dule purpose power that can block damage and stun/damage Dragoons or Hunters trying to pass through.
