This is probably obvious, but... (hosting related).

Now I've been part of the Venom and Talon bashing that's been taking place on this board. And I almost never host games - I can never, ever get any randoms to drop in my lobbies. I will literally wait 25 minutes and nothing.

Anyway, somehow today I went to join a lobby and it somehow set me as host with 3 other people. I tried the Talon (albeit on Silver - am still testing him out) and the difference between hosting and not was completely night and day. His arrows did consistently good damage (could 2 shot Brutes) and consistantly hit the targets. I can't speak of his Gold on-host performance, but I'm comparing him to the Silver experience I had with him off-host.

Same for the Venom. I've come to the conclusion that it is 100% absolutely and completely unusable in any capacity off-host. It's literally like using 2 different guns. Off host, I literally can't hit ANYTHING, much less do any sort of consistant damage. It shoots blanks probably >50% of the time when you're not hosting. On host, I was able to not only hit and stagger enemies, but do some pretty decent damage.

So if anything, Bioware needs to work on bug issues with these things, not necessarily balance.

Being host in this game is leagues above the 3 other poor bastards they're teamed with.

Devs need to stop testing game mechanics on closed networks and need to take latency into consideration. This game only truly shines for 25% of the player base.
