Inset her up 5 3 6 6 6... I've never needed a cyclonic yet even in platinum... I go for straight dr and invicible frame on biotic focus..ni go dash distance and recharge speed for poision strike... Max weapon damage and fitness passives.. I try to keep a very low cooldown so I can abuse dash teleport. i can dashport, heavy meleeport, then dashport again to go 3/5th the whole map in 2.5 secs... Excellent for catching up to spawns. However I'm highly considering on dropping fitness since if I hit my biotic focus timings and play smart on the evasive manuvers then I may respec for maxin poision strike and nightshade blades

I've asked this in a couple of cabal threads now and not gottena response from anyone. So a question for those who take exploding blades on nightshade blades.... it ends the DOT poison damage, correct (just like how the same evo on ballistic blades ends the dot bleed damage)? So with that thought in mind, is there a reason to take both poison duration and exploding blades? Because that seems rather counter-intuitive if I'm not mistaken about the above.
I can't seem to decide what to do with nightshade blades. I've tried them with multiple specs and I just don't use them that much.
Yes, it ends the DOT in exchange for burst damage/CC. I never take duration since range is much more effective.

Poison strike should not really be used offensively; it is an escape power primarily.
I don't agree and it can be used effectively as both. Heavy meleeing into a group and then poison striking through is ridiculously effective. Using the blades right after gives AOE stagger and pretty much kills everything not named a phantom outright.

I love this kit.. I think what megabeast described might be the best way to play her in a "as intended" sorta way.. Very very solid start and I would take his word for it he's good. Now what I do is I am more mobility focused..

The problem I have with the iframes evo in BF is that off host, it is such a crap shoot for it to even work and restoring barrier and shield gate is just more effective in my eyes.

Nope.
I play 6/6/6/5/3 with Double Dash, Exploding Blades and Biotic shield. Specced for power damage and Grenade capacity.
You rush the spawn, fire your Blades, fire your weapon with Incendiary ammo, prime them, then Poison strike trought them. Poison strike will not trigger a CD, cos it's double dash, so now you can Poison Strike again or use Biotic Focus.
Already done a Gold solo twice with her, will do an Ultimate Platinum with Phaeston only on Condor vs Reapers cos I feel anal like that.
Double dash makes her a beast. Works great as a team player; let your friends set up a firing line and the go through the enemies in a big loop.
Great work on the solo.

Exploding Blades does not end the Poison DOT.

I've been running a 66653 build, and have to say that I don't miss the extra points in Fitness, not with Biotic Focus. The advantage to taking PS to 6 is stronger explosions, from yourself with ammo or from teammates powers.
Believe it no not... I don't find evolutions 5 and 6 of Poison Strike all that appealing. The most appealing thing about maxing it out is like you said... for the combos. I find both rank 5 evos particularly unattractive.

0/6/6/6/6 for the win.and damage reduction and barrier regen for biotic focus, and all damage on nightshades.
You should outsurvive everyone with that build. You take no risks and your only cooldown is Biotic Focus

I tried a melee build, looked good on paper and for gold solos but it's hard to keep up with good players using guns. I spec out of nightshade blades and use her as a guerilla fighter.

This is nearly the exact build I use and have posted before. The only difference is I take 5a in fitness as the shield recharge is all but useless and you are focusing on melee. Biotic Focus's barrier restore does that much better than 5a would.
Likewise, there's no reason to take duration on BF since you are spamming it and since you are focusing on melee, it makes sense to take the added damage.
Also, I use the Talon with melee and power mods. The Acolyte is good, but the whole charging thing messes with the necesarry mobility. Also, carrying two weapons isn't really recommended. You aren't going to be shooting a ton and you won't the lowest cooldowns as possible.
One of the reasons I took 5b is because I didn't find myself using the heavy melee as much as the light melee.
I charge the Acolye while I'm running and fire it whenever... it causes no mobility issues, other than getting hung on cover while charging sometimes, but that's all charge weapons.
Also.... my build features 200% cooldown with two weapons

Are you sure? I still had Green paralyzed Phantoms after my blades had exploded....

It's not too hard to beat good players to the spawns with her IMO. Her speed bonus from Biotic Focus and ability to Phase through walls should allow you to get there before anyone, except that guy with a Javelin using Drill Rounds. Then when you get there... Nightshade Blades all the things... that's what they're for IMO, large groups.
Also... I cannot bring myself to spec out of a unique power on a kit, with the exception of Biotic Slash. If there is a kit, and it is the only one that has a specfic power (like Ballistic Blades, or Phase Disruptor)... I feel like I'm doing it a disservice to not use that power. I almost never skip over a power completely on any kit... that's the easy way out

You should spec for melee rather than duration for Biotic Focus since you will be spamming BF. (You don't need to wait for Biotic Focus to expire before activating it again.)
I am probably going to.... when I was making the thread I thought about putting that in there, but if anyone looked at my N7HQ... I would look like a liar... can't have that.

Nice guide, except I used the Talon pistol and a Locust SMG w/ Cryo ammo. It lets me keep my cool down high and use Strike quickly.
My cooldown is 200%
I guess I need to put that in Bold in the OP... you're the second person who has missed this.

A lot of my friends disagree with any kit needing 200% cooldown, but on this girl it's soon nice havin banshee teleports and stim packs AT WILL. I will always keep a lw cooldown for her. Dat flexibility

No, no, I saw it. I'm just saying I went a different direction than the Acolyte. I completely get why to use the Acolyte, except that the charge up throws my timing off. Talon gives me decent damage w/o buggering my cool down. That's all I was trying to point out.

LOL dat flexability
She's probably fine with 150%... most Vanguards are. I didn't see a reason to go heavier, because I didn't need to. I had everything I needed with the two weapons I equipped... and still got 200%, which is overkill.
Was playing with Ashen last night when he used her... he had a Lancer X and something else equipped and was at 166% I believe. He said his cooldown for Poison Strike was .25 seconds longer, and Biotic Focus was .5 seconds longer. Pretty negiligable cooldown increases IMO. She could definately take heavier weapons.
