No, no, I saw it. I'm just saying I went a different direction than the Acolyte. I completely get why to use the Acolyte, except that the charge up throws my timing off. Talon gives me decent damage w/o buggering my cool down. That's all I was trying to point out.

Ohh I gotcha.

My friend MoFuggerX uses the Talon on her to great effect... it's a great single weapon choice for her.

This is the build I was going to try next - similar to yours I think, but slightly tweaked. My first go with her I had PS specced for range at rank 4 and I immediately regretted it. I considered going 0 on PS altogether - and I might try that sometime, but I was actually thinking a 0 Blades build might be more fun.

Edit - and my first spec also uses NB rank 6a - enhanced blades, and that works pretty well, but I want to compare it to explosives.

It causes the boss to spin around back and forth trying to track you... like a dog chasing its tail. It's hilarious and effective...

Be careful doing this with a brute, if you poison strike while its charging, I find it manages to 180 and still manage to smack me...

Might try this build when i get on later tonight, although i'll use the Talon on her. Does her light melee give any DR?

Going 0 Blades is a mistake IMO. You lose all your CC ability... and the massive spike damage to crowds as well. It means you can't effectively attack spawns without using right hand advantage...

I don't know.... that's a good question.

I'd like it if this would be good against bosses.

I build for stand alone characters and this doesn't look like a good boss killer. But yeah the Acolyte seems perfect for this kind of build.

And the " Oh ****" moment is escaped with Poison Strike, so not giving her the extended range is not very smart. But it is your build...

I Slayer quite often (my favorite kit by far, best kit in the game IMO)... so escaping with her dodge and Biotic Focus feels very natural to me. I find I most often need to escape after an ill-timed Poison Strike... which means I'm on cooldown, so... dodge spam!

It's a 'good enough' boss killer.... that's what SMGs are for.

I find her to be brutally effective when used as a mix of a mobile Turian and Batarian Soldier.

Spec out of poison strike, utility and range on Nightshade (used for stagger and such), full DR and Duration on focus, full weapon passives, full defensive fitness, equip a Lancer or Harrier, mobile assault trooper with excellent weapon passives!

i dont even use PS, and i usually end up out surviving people who do :)

0/6/6/6/6 for the win. :D and damage reduction and barrier regen for biotic focus, and all damage on nightshades.

You should outsurvive everyone with that build. You take no risks and your only cooldown is Biotic Focus Posted Image But that is the uber boring build...

it is actually quite fun.

I've specced her 4 different ways and liked them all. Currently I'm going with 4/6/6/6/4. I take range on strike. BF and blades are the same as yours op but instead of focusing on melee I take weapon damage and stability passives and use the lancer IX or hurricane V. Another gun i really like on her is the suppressor. Blades to stagger or paralyze and then one shot to the head to kill.

I tried a variant of your idea and finally I got a build I am enjoying with her.

Range in poison strike and full melee in fitness, Biotic Focus - Movement Speed, Melee, 6B. Geth scanner

I have been using 6/6/6/6/0 since the first time I played her and haven't looked back. She's incredibly fun, even if she isn't a huge DPS dealer.

I will try this.

I'm promoting my characters in a few minutes so I'll be able to experiment more. Been overusing my current build/play with this wench.

Although I'm not big on using an Acolyte...

Poison strike is the only way of making Cabal unique.

When I played her non-host, I simply disliked her Heavy melee delay too much to go melee build.

I forgot how long it would take to buy 6m worth of Spectre Packs...

Guess I'm not trying this so soon.

I just managed a plat with a melee buold. Worked surprisingly well, as long as I kept to my Juggy friend. Donning a 6/4/6/4/6 build with double dash for detonations, a wraith for mediun range combar, elemental ammo for detonations, and the usual works. Melee takes a lot of getting used to, but it is quite powerful, if you're aware of your surroundings.

That's one of the toughest things about the kit... it can be very disorienting. It took me about 3 games to adjust to the enemy being behind me after Poison Strike... then dodging after that... there were times I had no idea where I was.

Glad you found a build that works for you Posted Image

She's such a good kit... so many different ways to play/build her. I haven't seen such build diversity since the Paladin came out.

I know what you mean Beast. She reminds me of how I used to prefer the Shadow for her uniqueness.. she's good, but doesn't feel overpowered. She's got some major weak points, but none that you cannot overcome with some adaptations.

I really want to try the geth scanner on her(eventually), along with power amps for an all out PS build, but my hydralic joints finally hit level 5, so I am celebrating this by shanking mooks like there was no tomorrow.

Unlike some kits, she seems really well balanced. It's clear that a lot of love went i to making this kit.

I find it funny how people like you never considered her as a weapons platform

Since she's a Turian with sick weapon passives... that was my first inclination... but I'm not going to do that. I'm going to use all her powers instead of turning her into a Fake Ghost.

Have fun with the 'Fake Ghost' soldier build... like I said, as long as you're happy, I'm happy. I also feel the same way about people turning the Collector Adept into a PPR weilder. Sure it's effective...I would never deny that, but it's so boring/cheap/uninventive/etc.

Every class in the game is better served as a weapons platform, this is undeniably true... but that's how the game gets boring and stale IMO.

Absolutely. You can tell the devs wanted her represented well... there isn't another kit like her in the game, unless you skip Poison Strike like a pansy Posted Image Then there is about 5 other kits that play the same way.

Ive used the 06666 build with a lot of success on gold / platinum.
I plan to use your build to refresh her, as weapon platform gets a little boring (especially as I enjoy power spamming as a paladin! ) nice build man

I currently use a 0/6/6/6/6 build because I generally find her heavy melee is good enough for a front teleport and her dodges are good enough for getting out of trouble. I do love running from spawn to spawn nuking them with blades though :3
