rogues ftw!
given the racial benefits, it seems humans are most suited to being rogues with dwarves as warriors and elves as mages...naturally <_<
I've created one of each playing to the strengths of the racial bonuses but my main is a Dalish Elf rogue
as for wep, probably dual wield swords for my main

My avatar is a city elf rogue, she'll be an archer, focusing on the the single target attacks, and some of the melee ones, along with a bit of stealth. Skills will be coercion(maxed), combat training (maxed) and maybe some trap making. I plan her to be a Bard, as well, because bards are awesome.

Dalish Elf for me. Agile, silent and deadly. I'm leaning toward bow (though it's a tough choice- dual wield looks like fun), as it might be fun to get up high and headshot some humans, but we'll see how feasible that is. If I can I'll probably have my companions engage up close and use my superior Elven eyesight to flip some switches.

I sincerely hope, Rogues won´t suck like in many other games, so i will play my first char as one (Human).

I don't think the racial bonuses are high enough to make one better than another in the end.
Mine will be a Dalish, dual wielding in all likelihood. Coercion and device mastery are a must.

My first character's going to be a rogue (city elf). I'm thinking probably dual-wielding. I'll make sure he knows at least something about sneaking and disarming traps and so forth (especially sneaking), but he'll mostly be a killer, I think. I plan on going assassin eventually.

Rogues (like everything else) really look awsome in this game
dwarf commoner here, with dual wield and assassin talents

thats great. despite dwarfs not being very agile, they have the +10% resitance to magic

I like the idea of a rich guy (noble) who likes to steal. Also this may be the first RPG in a while that really lets the rogue shine.

me too, I've decided on an alt that's a human noble female rogue, kinda like a Lara Croft/Thomas Crown Affair blend:ph34r:EnderZak wrote...

My first character's going to be a Dwarf Noble Rogue (DNR?) with a penchant for trespassing and backstabbing. Due to his upbringing, he likes poisons, traps, sneaking, and coersion. He has no use for bows, and thinks dual-wielding is a waste of a good hand.

I guess I'll go for human ranger. As for weapons, I tend towards a dual-wield combination of sword and axe...

I'm really torn between the Bard and the Assassin. But both are rogues, anyway <3
I think human rogues are more effective than elven ones in DaO (considering their stats) but I'll stick to an elf, for roleplay reasons.

Dwarven Commoner Rogue. Main Weapon: Slashin' Dashin' Tongue of Silver. But since Darkspawn don't feel particularly talkative we need a... Secondary Weapon: Archery and active use of environment for keeping outta harm's way while bringing down the enemy.

I'm not worried about race benefits. I'm going with a human rogue either way.

Human noble, duel wielding (undecided as yet between daggers & swords), assassin

Dalish elf rouge, too. Dual wield. It's going to be challenge of sort I think. I usually choose to play mages but in DAO I just can' help to play the Dalish origin (and I really think that playing warrior would be simply boring
But I wonder if I will change my mind after first few game reloads.
